Travellers' Choice
Seumus' Irish Bar is Marlborough’s favourite authentic ‘Irish pub’. Located near the Picton waterfront, the bar has a buzzing atmosphere, with live music 7 days a week throughout summer, but also on weekends year-round. With a menu designed to boast traditional Irish meals with classic kiwi favourites, it’s a brilliant spot to pull up a stool or cosy into a booth, get yourself a pint of Guinness (or a Marlborough wine or gin) and tuck into some tasty food. Seumus’ has been recognised on the global scene, winning Irish Pub of the year and Best Irish Community Pub in Asia, Africa, Middle East and Pacific, as well as the Best Overall Irish Community pub globally at the Irish Hospitality Global

Used the reservation system. When we arrived no reservation. Bartender didn’t care. Not his problem. Very disappointed as it was for a birthday.

Very friendly staff made the experience special. It is very popular so if wanting a meal I would suggest booking a table.

Good beer and wine selection. We did not eat, but we probably should have - the food looked very nice. Friendly staff.

We had the best meal here after a long day hiking part of tmThe Queen Charlotte Track, we were starving and this was exactly what we needed. The food was so so good, so many options for everyone of all dietaries, so many vegan options...to choice from, the burger was incredible but so many other things to get aswell. The place is awesome, beautiful looking Irish pub and all the staff were great especially the Yorkshire man working the room and keeping everybody happy. The vegan chocolate mousse is the greatest thing in the world too, leave room! 10 out of 10! Thank you!More

Early dinner, fish and chips and fish of the day - loved that the fish and chips came with said salad and it was not just a bit of green on the side, fish was generous and well cooked. Fish of the day was thoroughly...enjoyed and we finished with their very tasty baileys slushy. Good choice for dinner stop.More

Perhaps I missed the boat with this one. 1 x chicken burger and chips with a cider. I wouldn't call it mind blowing. Happy hour ends at 6pm, paid for our meal at 6:04pm - wasn't able to get the discount. So weird. Also got...bitten by mosquito's or fleas inside.... That was fun.More

We found this Bar on our walk around Picton, off the main cafe area. WE went there for dinner and had the best fish and chips, helped down with easy beer. We liked it so much we went back again when we returned to get...the ferry back to North Island. Great food and service. We will be back.More

We visited twice, five days apart and meals, drinks and service were all superb! Fresh fish, great burger, fantastic steak. Guinness was great, lovely wine, Baileys to finish. Friendly staff do the pub proud.
