We enjoyed a lovely long lunch sitting in the garden. The crumble was my favourite and the hot chips were delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the service was good and we would visit again.

A real shame. I booked a week in advance, however I got messaged on the afternoon of our booking date that the restaurant had decided not to open that night. Ah well, I re-booked for the same time the following night. After taking my booking...More

Nice garden sitting area to enjoy your lunch. Food was good, served hot, good portions and tasty. Service was a little slow due to staffing but nothing to complain about. Price was reasonable.

A great unpretentious cafe that served lovely food. Generous portions in lovely surroundings. The perfect spot to watch the world stroll by on a Friday afternoon.

Had lunch here twice within the space of a few days and both visits were most satisfactory. The brasserie is located away from the main dinning strip which is on the waterfront so is a bit more relaxed and less in your face. The house...More

....before going to the movies in town (we were the only two people watching), and they consented to serving us dinner plates although we were early. Nice place to sit outside and enjoy your food and wine.

When we went, it was fairly quiet, however if your going in the summer months then I would say to make a reservation.

Description
"The Brasserie is Akaroa's newest restaurant. Your hosts, Carlos and Saowani invite you to step into their beautiful garden and escape the hustle and bustle outside. We have all day menu with electic and French European influence as well as Asian inspired menu. We have a wide range of boutique wines and Craft beers and All Press coffee available to compliment our Menu. The focus is on local, seasonal ingredients and there is an abundance of fresh vegetables as well as Asian and European herbs from our garden. There is also a BBQ menu to enjoy. Indoor and outdoor seating. We are open 8am till late 7 days a week, so come and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner with us or just soak up the atmosphere with a drink. We also have a range of pastries and muffins to accompany our great Allpress coffee."
