Know beforehand that you must all order from the tasting menu or a’la carte menu. We sat at the Chef’s table for the full experience, which was no experience. There was no interaction and very little explaining. We had some tasty bites but not all...items were tasty. This is a place I would skip if visiting Riga, not worth the price.More

There are so many restaurants trying to be innovative, but who end up under-delivering. However I am pleased to say that 3 Pavaru is genuinely innovative. All dishes, starter, main and desert are well thought out, well presented and with interesting and innovative flavours. The...starter with poached cod and pickled onions was light, delicious and refreshing. The various main courses were delivered with perfectly cooked meat accompanied by various seasonal vegetables. For me the outstanding part had to be the desert. The milk foam, served with blueberries and basil was one of the most delicious and innovative deserts I've eaten in a very long time. The same with the other desert we tried with the pickled pumpkin and sorbet. I want to come back to Riga just to come back to 3 Pavaru !More

What a fabulous place, found it on our last night in Riga and enjoyed every bit of our meal. Loved the theatre and it was clear that every thing on your dish was there for a reason and all added to the dish. If ever...I'm back in Riga it will be a must do on my list. Worth every penny.More

Absolutely amazing! By far the best restaurant we went to in Riga in our stay. The staff and chefs did an excellent job. One of my friend also had some dietary restrictions, but this was absolutely no issue (we also let them know in advance)....We did spend around 3,5h in the restaurant with a tasting menu, it was a great experience but that last half an hour was a bit too long waiting for the dessert. We'd appreciate a bit shorter breaks in between the courses. We went for the non-alcoholic drinks menu, where we had low expectations. We ended up very pleasantly surprised with local ciders, juices, bubbles and more that tasted amazing! The food is top notch and very well presented visually and orally by the waiter. English was no issue either. Top-notch, we highly recommend.More

Went with my wife and daughter and son in law today had 6 course tasting menu , absolutely wonderful food first class service couldn’t fault any part of the experience, I understand some people complain it’s a little pricey, we are from London and this...quality of meal and service at this price is an absolute bargain and I can only say come and enjoy a wonderful experience at what we think is very reasonable price. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful experience.More

It was an incredible experience, food was amazing, balanced flavours, excellent seasoning. Local seasonal produce, very much enjoyed the tasting menu, especially when the head Chef presented a selection of handmade breads and sauces, it looked like a modern art style board. Service wise everything...was perfect, I would like to pass a special mention to the professional and friendly Armands, thank you very much, it was a special occasion for me and my partner Ryan, we enjoyed it very much. Good luck to you guys, i hope, you will gain a star ⭐️ cause it is well deserved indeed.🙏❤️More

The restaurant was almost full when we arrived. It was noisy and cramped. We were offered a table either literally on top of a raucous party of eight or one further away that had arm chairs so the table top was at chest height. We...took that latter, the least worse option. Fortunately as we were looking over the menu, two 'traditional' dining tables came free and far enough away from the raucous party that seemed to have moved up a gear in noise. We asked if we may move to one of the free tables. The waitress (who seemed a senior staff member) and the maitre'd/host were not happy about this request but relented. We ordered and enjoyed watching a cheerful staff member create the spread and dips 'artwork' for dipping bread on a grease proof sheet of paper. It is an original and memorable start to the meal. Most of the dips were delicious with interesting tastes but the grey pea (I think it was that) was an acquired taste. The waitress who was not happy with our move came to take our order and was not friendly. The appetizers were incredible - so delicious. I had birch sap syrup drizzled over my artistically arranged goats cheese salad, never had that before but a perfect foil to the dish. We then had lamb. For me it was perfect and again delicious but my partner likes any meat well done. It was too pink for them and so they asked for it to be cooked a bit more. A different waitress was serving us now and started arguing about the request. She did take it away and it was returned but quite frankly nothing had been done to it and so my partner couldn't eat it. It was fairly expensive and I was disappointed my partner was not as pleased with the meal as I was. And the service certainly left something to be desired.More

Went here for dinner with high expectations. As their pricing is really high, 89€ for a six course tasting menu plus 55€ for the wine pairing to that we expected something extraordinary. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed. Even if the dishes were tasty there...wasn't one that would have given us any wow effect. Service was friendly but a bit of unpersonal. All in all the restaurant gave an impression of lack of passion, should have been so much better taking the pricing in consideration.More

Fantastic food! This place really serves unique, inspired dishes. Everything we had was fantastic. We didn't get the tasting menu (after finishing, I wish we had, just so we could have experienced more interesting dishes from the chef). Everything from the starters to desert exceeded...expectations. And everything was incredibly fresh. Service was also fantastic.More

This is a top class restaurant, fine dining in every meaning of the word. Superbly friendly and knowledgeable staff. Located in the old town, near to the powder tower. The restaurant has two kitchens, an open plan kitchen in the centre of the floor where...starters and deserts are prepared, and an interior kitchen where the mains are cooked. 2 menus available, the 6 course tasting menu or the a la carte. Both vary seasonally. They prefer each table to collectively chose one or the other. We opted for the a la carte. No matter which menu you chose, the bread brought at the start is served in a superbly theatrical presentation. A mat is placed in front of every diner, and then a chef from the open plan kitchen creates a Jackson Pollock type artwork on the mat with 4 or 5 differing sauces, in which to dip the deliciously soft and fresh home baked bread. For starters we chose a delicious fjord trout, served with the trimmings deep fried in a shiso leaf (wonderful). The ostrich tartare was enjoyed as was the superb seafood soup. For mains, we had the delicious pike perch (otherwise known as Zander) and 3 steaks which were also excellent. A lovely sorrel sorbet, light and refreshing was served as a pre-dessert, before we tried the white chocolate mousse and the strawberry dish. Both were again superb. We tried several of the wines, including the Latvian white from Sabile, which was very interesting. A top class dining establishment, you can guarantee you will eat well.More

What a great meal. We went the other day to Space Falafel, DO NOT GO THERE, it's terrible & last night ate here. Every dis as excellent. There were 4 appetizers & 4 main dishes. We were in4 so we had one of each &...shared them. Fantastic plus we started with an order of a dozen raw oysters. They were fromp Ireland & some of the best we have ever had. This is by far, the best restaurant we ate at in Riga. Definitely a place to enjoy an excellent meal.More
