Characteristic restaurant serving Bosnian-Slovenian cuisine located in the centre. They don't accept reservations and there's always a bit of a queue. We went to dinner before 8pm on Friday evening and the wait was only 15 minutes. We ordered a single dish consisting of 2 slices of minced meat (burger type) and 12 sausages of various qualities, accompanied by bean soup, pepper cream and spreadable cheese and hot grilled bread (pita type). The portions are generous and we ate to the satisfaction of three by ordering another basket of bread (which they didn't charge us separately). The staff is very friendly and speaks a few words of Italian. I recommend ordering draft water as long as bottled mineral water costs €5 for a 750ml bottle. Had a great meal and paid €15 each including 2 local beers. The only negative thing is that the place is below street level and even with the presence of ceiling fans there is a feeling of lack of air and heat.

Very nice place near the old town you eat really well, very nice and helpful waiters and especially fast. We took for 3 people a plate to share x 2 and another plate a puff pastry with potatoes. All super good, great prices in 3 we spent 47€

We had read some great reviews about this place and decided to try it out. We had to wait a little while to be seated, but eventually got a table. We wanted to try a prix fixe menu they had listed, but were told they weren't serving it. We chose to share the meat platter for two instead. While it was delicious, it was enough meat for four people. And unlike the prix fixe menu, which had cabbage rolls, coffee and dessert, it was all meat except for the beans, which I wasn't really a fan of. The pita was super good though, and the buttery cheese spread was delish too. Since we were in a hotel, we couldn't do anything with all of the leftover meat, so that was kind of a waste. Still, I'd recommend it for the food and service.

This cellar restaurant is lots of fun, the staff are absolutely friendly and laid back, and the food is delicious. The only drawback is that the first time you go, you can't quite make out the menu. We were four people and ordered 10 cevapcici each but it was too much food. Learn from our mistake and order 1 portion of 10 for two, then order the 29.90 euro platter which gives you a bit of everything in far more manageable portions!! Anyway, I thoroughly recommend an evening or a lunch in this fun restaurant.

After reading numerous enthusiastic reviews, we decided to book a month in advance to avoid the queue, and it was absolutely worth it. The location is small, informal and welcoming. The service was fast and courteous. We opted for the dinner menu from just under 25 euros, splitting it in two and accompanying it with two local beers. The food was pleasant, with generous portions that completely satisfied us. The value for money is excellent. If you love Balkan cuisine or are curious to discover it, this place is absolutely recommended.

Restaurant in a rumpus room without windows in the basement, characteristic. Kindness of the staff who also speak a little Italian. Multilingual menu. The plate of cold cuts with cheeses is good, the Ćevapčići with Bosnian bread are good while the steak with minced meat is nothing more than a hamburger with the same flavor as the Ćevapčići. Ask for water on tap to save otherwise a bottle costs around €5.

Really nice place, with very kind staff and, unlike what often happens in Slovenia, fast. The food is great, cevapcici excellent. The waitress suggested the quantities, making us reduce the order. 59€ in 4 with 2, appetizers, 2 soups and 20 cevapcici. Bread at will. Those who have given negative reviews are only in bad faith. There is always a little queue but it is really worth it.

We found this little restaurant by looking at popular reviews online for “authentic local food” and sure got lucky! We entered at 6pm on a Tuesday and saw 2 couples ahead of us waiting for a table on the stairs. We waited about 10 minutes then were given a table (we were lucky though, the line when we left around 7:30pm was around the block - an hour wait AT LEAST!). When we sat, we looked at the menu and decided to get the “plate” dish and one other dish (for 2 people). Our waitress let us know that the “plate” meal was plenty of food for two people and a good choice. We just got that and, boy, was she right! We got our food about 30 minutes in, and it was absolutely amazing! The meats and small sides included hit the spot; we especially liked the red pepper sauce that came with it. The total price was 28 euro for two, a great deal for plenty of food and a great, local, authentic food experience! You won’t want to miss this (but… be prepared to wait for a table!).

Very nice location with attention to the smallest details, very courteous waiters, as I read that many did, we took the Sarajevo dish and divided it into 4 (two adults and two girls). Excellent and great price, very good beer too! Go early because they don't take reservations and afterwards it fills up and you have to wait a long time to get a table.!

We found this place simply with a Google search. The restaurant is located underground, which already makes it special. It is located outside the Old Town, but within easy walking distance. In front of us we found a long line of people waiting, being Saturday and certainly being a very popular place especially by locals (and some curious tourist like us). The place is very spartan, in the good sense of the word since it seems to take a dip in the past. You can breathe the Slovenian-Bosnian air (since the restaurant promotes these two cuisines). All very authentic in its simplicity. We had some difficulty understanding the menu, but it's basically part of the experience. Very kind and cooperative waitress, super generous portions and all very good. Average prices. Experience absolutely to do!

The place's great, so much so that there was people queueing up outside. We waited for something like an hour, closing hours approaching. After a while we decided to do take out. When we got in and told them we've been waiting an hour they just handed us beer and sandwiches for 6 people free of charge. The food taste fantastic and the portions are very generous

The wait must be taken into account and perhaps the most inconvenient thing is having to wait in line inside the restaurant to get a table, but the staff tries to satisfy requests despite the space being limited and the customers being many. We were two adults and a 4 month old baby = stroller in tow, which they made us keep next to the table even though the spaces are not exactly large (the waiters were very kind, despite the very high pace of service and space). We waited 30 minutes and ordered two dishes: one based on chicken and the other with meat rolls (which we preferred to the proposal with chicken, really tasty). Most dishes are accompanied by their bread (exquisite) and raw onion. For drinking we took two medium beers (0.5lt) The only flaw is perhaps the vegetables, the choice can only fall on the peppers, in addition to the raw onion that accompanies each dish. The total bill was €22. Eating very well at a very low price. Highly recommended!

From the outside you wouldn't give a penny... but just go down the stairs and you arrive in a welcoming environment run by young people, with Bosnian cuisine. We took the Sarajevo Plate 84, dividing it, which consists of a mixed grill of cevapcici, pleskavica, sudzukica accompanied by Bosnian bread, beans, slightly spicy sauce and onions. It's hard to finish it in two, I assure you! Super recommended. Also try the Sarajevo 84 beer, not bad! Good guys! Greetings from Italy 🇮🇹 Fabio

Small but very nice place. The food is excellent and the portions are generous. Average prices. The waiting service needs to be revised a bit: people lined up on the stairs blocking access even to the waiters who have to bring the food to the external room (the internal one is underground), causing major problems in the service. Despite this, highly recommended.
