I visited Valverde for the second time and it did not disappoint. From the starters and the wonderful bread served while still warm, to the fantastic meat dishes, the quality is always present. Also note the service, which is always extremely friendly.

Due to the location, it is one of those restaurants that has to be very good. People only go there on purpose to experience the gastronomy. The appearance is pleasant, friendly decor, very attentive and smiling employees. Room temperature a little too hot. We went there at the suggestion of one of our group, to try the lamb estonado, as he really liked the dish on his first visit. This time, we came away convinced that the kid had been heated, as, like the piglet, the skin was not crispy. It was "rubbery", indicating heating and not coming out of the oven. The starters (meat dumplings, ham and some pies) were excellent and we had to be careful or we would lose space for the goat. Near Arruda but in a small quiet town we found this small restaurant with rustic decoration.
The food is excellent starting with the entrances: hot empadinhas, hot homemade bread with or without chorus etc.... Or a very good main dishes. We advise the fantastic tiger shrimp cataplana or the spotted ....

5* restaurant! We had never heard of this restaurant other than it is in a somewhat hidden area and so we were reluctant… I'm glad we decided to try it!
Very welcoming atmosphere and super friendly staff! The food was delicious, we ordered kebabs and the Azores cutlet and homemade bread

It's been a while since I've been to this restaurant, but it maintains all the features to make us walk a few kilometers and find it in the middle of nowhere. The appearance remains pleasant, nice traditional decor, attentive staff who are always available. We opted for a piece of stone and wraps, and they were very good. The Portuguese gather in this restaurant not only to eat but to have a good time.
The room is spacious, bright and not too noisy, with a small parking in front (otherwise there is the street in front to park).
Sofia our waitress, with a little look Cécile de France, was at the top.

Nice staff, nice space and chef Sergio prepares a really nice menu grill based, everything from the starters till the gingona they serve at the end of the meal is nice. A must visit if you are passing by (or if you're coming on purpose)
