Though regulars at Stoneyridge, on this occasion wife and I decided to go to a restaurant within walking distance from the ferry for a change. hadn't been to Mudbrick for years so we gave it a try. We opted for the outdoor Archive bistro versus the restaurant as the weather was stunning so wasn't expecting the restaurant standards for food... More

We came to Mudbrick Winery on a Saturday afternoon after another winery. We did the 'local' wine tasting, $20 each, which was a good way to learn a bit about the local wines. The venue has beautiful views of the water, especially in the late afternoon light, so try to get a table outside. Our waiter was fantastic; attentive (but... More

We ate at the Archive, the new bistro beside Mudbrick. As we drove up we saw the restaurant surrounded by lights. It was magical. The restaurant is rustic with lots of lights inside. We were at a table at the window looking out over the valley, it was very pretty with fairy lights in the garden. We ordered oysters and... More

As part of a wine tour we stopped here as our first tasting spot. Wow what a nice spot wished I could have stayed there for the whole day. Beautiful place, great wines. Very knowledgeable owner. Will go back, definitely. Don't miss this spot.

This was our last find on Waiheke, we only had an hour, but the staff were really happy to accommodate us. The shared platter was a good choice, and with that and a glass of wine or 2 it was our farewell to Waiheke -- this time. The views were amazing, there are different dining choices, and a great shop... More

Took the ferry out just in time to catch sunset from this gorgeous spot. Started with some Pinot Gris in outside dining at the bistro, and by night had moved into our reservation in the restaurant. Design was a comfortable mix of rustic elegance. Staff were attentive and knowledgbale. Food was delicious and the fish might be some of the... More

Lovely vineyard in as nice setting. Wine tasting pricier and not as good as neighbours. Also have to pay more for local wine and heavy on the red choices. Food good but slightly over priced. Could learn from cable bay but overall a good trip

This is my fourth time here and always love the experience. My favorite thing to buy at mud brick is a soap they make from their wine which is beautiful. I always buy heaps for family back home. So excited to see they had opened a bistro and I wanted to try it but as this was my husband's first... More
