Had a wonderful afternoon here enjoying wine and food. Views were just spectacular. It was very very expensive, but worth it for a special occasion. Food was really nice.

We were a group of over 12 in the Bistro so had the fixed menu option which is a choice of 3 dishes for entree, main, desert. The entrees were nice enough although 2 seafood dishes and a pumpkin dish was a little limiting if...you were not a raw fish or mussels fan. I ordered the Steak option, requested medium/rare, the steak was definitely on the pretty rare side which would have been fine had the steak been of good quality, unfortunately most of the meat was gristly and inedible. There were comments from another 4 of our party expressing disappointment, 3 of these involved the steak option. I did ask the waitress to let the chef know when she collected my plate and enquired about the food, I am not sure if she passed it on as I had no further feedback from the kitchen. The deserts were fine. I was disappointed and in my opinion which is based on my experience this restaurant is a little over-rated.More

As usual the food was excellent. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very efficient. The view of the sunset over Rangitoto was superb. The only slight disappointment was that there was no market fis available, though it was on the menu. This was the second...time that was the case. The snapper and the pork chop were both delicious, as were the starters.More

Absolutely stunning views!! Don't just come here for a wine tasting during the day, make a dinner reservation and enjoy the magical sunset. Lovely wine, delicious food, excellent service and the most amazing location.

We had great service and delicious food and wine at Mudbrick Archive Bar & Bistro. The setting was very pleasant - an open, semi-outdoors feeling, but secure against rain and breeze. Plenty of people, but not too noisy or distracting. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable,...and she paced our dinner just right. We enjoyed mussels, steak, fish, wine and dessert, and everything was great. We would certainly go here again the next time we find ourselves in Oneroa.More

Sometimes a place stands out not just because of the food, the wine or the views (all of which are spectacular at Mudbrick) but because of the people who work there. George, went above and beyond to look after us (his professionalism and helpful nature...were superb). I should also like to commend Callum who also had the most friendly demeanor and welcoming approach. When I look back at our time in Waiheke, it is Mudbrick which I know I shall remember as the highlight. I give it the highest recommendation as it is there that both place and people are enchanting!More

Lovey to come back to Mudbrick after 16 years to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time back in 2008 and it was fitting to have dinner here with friends to mark the occasion. It was a lovely evening and the team really...helped make it memorable!More

Our main was meant to be crispy duck but the skin was soggy and chewy. We get better duck at our local Chinese supermarket.

We had a fantastic dining experience! Impeccable service, delicious food, and its prime location offered stunning views of Auckland. Their garden was spectacular, too. Though slightly pricey, it seems in line with rates at similar island restaurants.

We absolutely loved our visit to Mudbrick. We have travelled from the UK, and specifically had Mudbrick on our tick list. I had been following mudbrick on Instagram for a few years and our visit lived up to all expectations. From the service we had...at the cellar door from Sam, to the great dining at Archive with Gaya. The setting is stunning, we had amazing weather which enabled us to eat al fresco as well as enjoy a bottle of wine on the bean bags outside overlooking Auckland in the distance. The food in Archive was phenomenal, a real culinary delight! The tuna poke and venison tartare were so light and delicious. The fillet cooked perfectly and my husband really enjoyed his merino dish. Beautiful views and food, couldn’t have asked for a better time. We will be recommending to others. Thank you!More

We arrived early for our lunch appointment and were welcomed warmly and seated immediately on comfy patio chairs/couch, under an umbrella, with a gorgeous view of the gardens and coast. We started with marinated olives and a smoked fish spread with focaccia bread. I had...a martini and we both had Mudbrick wine with our entrees. We ordered the fillet with triple cream gratin potatoes - perfection in preparation and presentation. We also shared the Jeruselum Harvest: a veggie dish with smoked eggplant and a variety of flavorful, colorful veggies. Highly recommend this location for ambiance, friendly service, food, wine, and romance. Time slowed down and we were encouraged to take our time between courses. We did not have room for dessert or the wine tasting we planned, though we tried a few during our meal. This was a highlight for us, and made for a romantic afternoon. We did see a lot of families and groups, as well. Recommend walking up to the rooftop for a higher view of the property while you're there.More

There probably isn’t much to add from all the other reviews about this place, but amazing views, chilled vibe on the roof bar, and excellent food and wine. But the most outstanding thing was the staff. Friendly and so knowledgeable and couldn’t do more to...help. We were 35 mins early for our table so went up to the roof bar for a drink. Sat around on huge beanbags drinking a glass of wine. When we went down to our table our waiter has saved us a table to sue for right on the edge of the patio. Food was sublime ( hubby had the Octopus starter and we both had the steak mains). When we finished we moved to a comfy sofa and just chilled an hour away. Enjoyed a wine flight and bought some delicious wine to take home. Outstanding all roundMore
