Food was fantastic so tasty and a great variety and we ordered everything from the gluten free menu! Getting a table can prove difficult and having to go and get your cutlery, drinks, water and order at the counter can mean lots of queuing. Food is delivered to your table but this is also a bit hit and miss, on our visit there were 3 errors with the food (2 dishes they tried to give us twice and 1 dish never arrived and we had to ask staff for it). However the food was so delicious and reasonably priced that we were all happy with our evening and could overlook the lack of service.

Visiting family in Mooloolaba over the Christmas period and was recommender to try Rice Boi. As the title suggest it is situated at the Wharf in what appears to be a refurbished warehouse and the food is Asian/Fusion. It is very well supported by visitors and locals and queues are a feature if you are dining between 6/7pm.You order your food and pay for it at a bar area and is then served to you. All that said the quality of the food is excellent and very reasonably priced service is excellent with very friendly staff. We visited it a number of times and always enjoyed our experience. It caters for all age groups and family’s. It’s not fine dining but excellent food and good value.

Dropped in for lunch. Enjoyable Asian fare with a good choice of menu options. Ordering at the counter was a bit slow, only 1 person taking lunch orders & serving drinks. Very popular with locals, with a lot dropping in for lunch ( eat in & take away ) while we were there.

Probably my 6th visit to Riceboi. Food is actually really tasty, generally always a high standard and at an unbeatable price point. HOWEVER - the staff are ALWAYS suuuuper rude, impolite, unfriendly and act as if any simple question or request is the biggest inconvenience they’ve ever faced. Dishes consistently come out VERRRRRY late and sometimes wrong.

Rice Boi hits the mark with decor and design similar to many Melbourne and Sydney modern Asian restaurants 1. The Sunday wait staff could not be any less enthusiastic & literally drag their feet to service - not a single smile or acknowledgement in the 45 visit 2. We were brought 2 dishes we didn’t order and they forgot 1 dish we did order - the rice arrived after 35 mins when we were practically finsished 3. Crispy pork belly skin was chewy and saturated in the tooth achingly sweet marinade that overpowered everything. Similar to the eggplant chips were a sopping mess drowning in sauce & oil. 4. In fairness the duck and the pork bao buns were tasty as were the vegetable spring rolls. A sad reality of service industry outside of the major cities is the quality is rarely present This restaurant lacks leadership and quality control through effective management of staff and kitchen Unfortunately we the tourist turn over quality rarely improves & these businesses typically turn over as was evident in this food strip featuring several vacant shops Unfortunately I wouldn’t return

Perfect night out for dinner in Mooloolaba. Meals will set you back between $15-30 for a serving of delicious pork/duck boa, curries, salads and other modern Asian cuisine. Food is delicious and perfect location right on the water. Drinks are slightly cheaper than your average bar - cocktails will set you back around $16 and house spirits and wines are $8-9. Highly recommend if you are travelling through Mooloolaba. One down side? It’s so popular and with no bookings, there is a line up for tables as soon as 6pm hits. So would recommend arriving before 5pm to get that prime spot!

This Asian street restaurant always delivers on interesting dishes that are delivered quickly by the friendly staff. The KingPao Calamari, beef curry, loaded fries, dumplings, trout .... in fact just about the whole menu are all great choices. We come back time and again.

Amazing place and not our first visit. We had a group of seven people and were unsure of serving sizes so checked everything when ordering. The cashier confirmed that we were not over ordering , we left after everyone had eaten as much as they could (amazing food) with 8 take out containers! Beautiful food, and we will go back but a very expensive evening out as at result. The management were very apologetic and did offer some compensation for our next meal there. We still love the place, atmosphere and venue but lesson learnt for next time.

It is always busy you have to line up to get seated but must admit the few times we have been there the line has moved quickly and we have been seated in a good time. But unfortunately that’s where it stops for me I think it’s a bit over priced for the quality of the food & atmosphere, I think it’s more aimed at a young yuppy customer it’s more of a cafe but charging restaurant prices. I had spring rolls with banana filling and they were disgusting 🤢 I could not eat them. My husband had a curry and he said the meat was very tender and it was a true curry it was spicy 🌶 he enjoyed it. I guess it’s just really not my scene So it is good but just a bit overpriced and the menu is very limited with not much selection.

Came here for the first time for lunch today Place was packed out for Father’s Day so we ordered take away and sat outside on the tables and benches Ordered the calamari, the pork baos ,spicy chicken and pork dumplings and drinks The dumplings were beautiful, filled to the brim hot and tasty Calamari had a lovely fishy fresh taste cooked perfectly The pork baos were just right, the buns were smooth and fresh, pork and sauce were delicious, moist and cooked to deliciousness. Eating outside wasn’t crowded and looking over the water was relaxing. Prices aren’t too bad and food is delicious, service took about 20/25 min as they were flat out ,will be back

We visited as two families for a Sunday lunch. Everything we ordered was absolutely fresh, bursting with flavor and positively delicious! Prices are very reasonable. Food arrived in reasonable time considering how busy it was. Definitely worth eating here. The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 was because customer service let them down. Most (but not all) of the staff were disinterested in providing a smile and simple friendliness.

This place opens at 11:30 and if you don't want to line up forever I suggest you get there to line up well and truly before then. We started lining up at 11:15 and were the 4th or 5th group to be seated. Food is super fast to your table after you order, I was very impressed with the speedy delivery. It was all incredibly tasty! Good amount of gluten free options too. Very busy and very loud from large capacity of people inside. Long line when we left waiting to get in. Its the sort of place that you get in, order, eat, get out to let others in. We had the 10hr slow cooked curry, chicken and rice bowl and their fries which where all so tast and fresh. Would go back in a heartbeat.

After several attempts to go to Rice Boi, due to being unable to book and long queues, we managed to get a table easily on Monday night of the Australia Day long weekend. WOW! It was definitely worth the visit. Delicious flavours, duck Bao, pork & ginger dumplings, eggplant chips, slow cooked beef were all amazing! Good serving sizes and reasonable prices..can’t wait to go back at Easter. The restaurant now has 3 separate seating areas, but is still very popular, busy but quick. Worth the wait.

WOW! Superbly impressed with the flavours in these dishes. Will definitely be back for more soon. Walk-ins only, no bookings. Weekends are busy, but we had no problem on a weeknight. The eggplant chips are AMAZING! Give them a try. Only down side, was I would have expected x2 of the chicken bao rolls for $8 - they’re not large, & not worth $8 for 1, so will try something else next time.

Visited Rice Boi for the first time yesterday whilst at the sunny coast. It was PACKED for lunch, hence very loud but with a good atmosphere. Very young crew there which was excellent. Food pricing was suited to the very casual seating and settings. Overall a good experience and we would return.
