Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I went for dinner, and thankfully, we booked as the restaurant was bustling. What a beautiful setting! You can walk out the door virtually onto the Burleigh Heads beach. The staff was fun and professional. It was obvious that much of the...staff were young overseas travellers, which I believe was a positive. The restaurant and the menu are themed towards seafood, with a good selection of choices. We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed the ambience given by the restaurant. I would certainly return.More

We went in a group of 20 for my daughters 30th. Firstly the service was beyond excellent and clearly the views are amazing, however, it was a 33 degree day and 100% humidity and they had no air conditioning, it was obvious customers were extremely...uncomfortable with red faces, sweat amd fanning themselves with the menus. That wouldn't have been an issue if we hadn't of paid $1700 (85 per head) for food. The food was ridiculously average and each course was one bite and very plain. The seafood roll which was tiny was not bad but really! The main was either a hot spicy curry on a scorching hot day amd it was in the middle of the table to help yourself and hardly anything there. The other course was beans sprouts, cabbage etc with a sliver of very average duck. We were all starving after 2 hours. What an absolute rip off is all I can say. Surf Club next door would have been heaps better and a 3rd of the price.More

Its not always a great feeling when you're greeted with a lie from some smirky upstart 'matre'd 'who thinks you're too stupid to to know the difference. OK we took the inferior seating as were so looking forward to the food after all the reviews....Instead of being delighted I felt stupid - for falling for the hype. The food was average at best and way overpriced 1 (one ) oyster for$8 just raw from the supplier. No michelin stars for that one or very patchy service either with meals arriving not together. The stunning view is all thats holding this place up. Next time back to next door with same view and much much better food and service ay half the price.More

Great spot , great service and absolutely amazing food . Wagyu beef pot stickers incredible, moreton bay bug rolls off the spectrum ( could just eat these all night) and duck curry is fantastic ..

A disappointing food experience… a shame such beautiful, fresh ingredients were swamped in over sugar-salty sauces.

Amazing, great service and the food was awesome! Not to be missed. We had the $85 set menu, wonderful flavours and good size portions. There was no pressure from the staff to hurry and let’s face it the location is outstanding.

Food and drinks are great but the timeliness of service was very poor. We were a late evening booking and the restaurant was about half full. Food very tasty however.

The food was okay, but the duck curry was not as good as it used to be. It's now gluggy and overwhelmed with too much coconut milk (cream). But that is not my main disappointment, it's the toilets. They must belong to the whole building,...but Rick Shores should respect their customers by forking out to have them over-hauled to the standard expected of a restaurant whose carefully delivered image is trendy and classy (and pricey). They currently resemble the toilets at Bunnings. This is talked about negatively by women dressed nicely for their special dining occasion after visiting the Ladies. Unbefitting.More

We went to have a nice dinner to celebrate my 80th birthday with my family and WOW what a great experience. The staff were great. Helpful, friendly and very efficient. The food was to die for. Every thing we ordered was presented well and cooked...extremely well. A thoroughly enjoyable dinner, thank you so much. We will be back (when we can get another booking 😜).More

After looking forward to a special holiday lunch here for months, the first dissapointment was to find this place is booked out two months in advance. Luckily, there is bar seating for those who want to cue outside at opening times. The menu looked amazing,...but the proof of the pudding, not so flash. Whilst recommending the Moreton bay bug roll and Red Duck Curry, we have to caution anyone on the Currumbin salad, which was a dissapointing disaster. $16 for a handful of rocket leaves, half a cherry tomato, and a few bean sprouts. Dont' do it! The Roti, top notch. The cocktails (Native Australian), a scotch glass filled with so much ice, you couldn't even get your straw through it. Summing it up without being negative, difficult? This place is noisy, frenetic, busy, loud. There are no toilets for the prices being charged, you have to hoof it across to the wet, sandy, dirty, public toilet block on the other side of the pavilion; difficult service if you are not famous; our walk-in bar seating was right at the door entrance. Definitely, not somewhere we would visit again. In a nutshell, I have to agree that this place is a hyped up trend that is too popular for its own good. Would never eat here again.More

The food is Asian themed but a sensational take on fresh local produce with frequent menu changes reflecting a passion for both sublime flavour combinations and innovation! This is complimented by a wonderful selection of cocktails and wine and friendly passionate and knowledgeable servers. We...loved the fixed degustation menu, with the Moreton bay bugs on brioche a standout! All dishes complimented each other and were individually exceptional. Only hesitation was that the final confit red curry duck was uncomfortably hot for our taste. However with Rick, Tarte and the Paddock Bakery in Burleigh Heads a genuine food lovers destination!More
