$106 for fish and chips for 6 people, and we were all hungry afterwards. Barely any chips (the few we had each were quite nice). The grilled fish we asked for wasn't even grilled- it was just lightly battered, and half the size of the...battered fish. Wish I had read reviews before buying dinner here. Shocker!! Against our better judgement (from past experience) we ordered fish & chips from here only because our usual place was closed & our little grandson REALLY wanted them. It cost us nearly $60 for 3 tiny pieces of soggy fish, 1 potato cake, 2...calamari rings, 1 battered sav & regular chips. Talk about a rip off- I don’t remember when I have had such stingy serves before. The fish was tissue thin, under-sized & batter was soggy. Battered sav was only 1/2 a sausage, also soggy. Potato cakes & calamari adequate but again undersized for the price. Chips were so stingy - the box was only half full, & are those thin dry ones. I am so disgusted, & actually angry at the rip off. Plus what business has only 1 cook & 1 server on a Friday night in the school holidays? There were queues of cross people, many locals like us only there because the other shop wasn’t open- we had to wait 30 minutes outside in the cold & dark. Don’t waste your money folks, even if you are craving fish & chips, go to any of the adjacent takeaways except this one. If there was an option to give zero stars I would have, should have known better.More
Very disappointed in serving size price for family chips $12 and you can see the bottom of the box. Enquired to the lady in the shop in regards to serving size for her to tell me she would have gotten in trouble in giving me...that amount of chips…. I was floored! Have been going there for years as a local and won’t be going there again.More
Ordered the regular hot chips for $10. The amount was pathetic. Box was small & not even close to full. Disappointing! Haven’t been there since I was a kid. Won’t be going back.
Tigers never disappoints. The crumbed fish is the best fish in NSW and the chips are beautiful and crispy. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it. We always get Tigers at least twice whenever we’re in town.
As a local this has always been our go to for Fish n chips. Unfortunately this time we were so disappointed, it was so over priced and the serving size was very small. The fish was nothing to rave about and the chips looked like...left overs. The menu has been simplified which is fine but you would expect what they do serve should be great. Service was good. Regretfully we will not be back. Burrill fish n chips next time.More
The reviews are not wrong! Wish I had read prior. This would have to be the most overpriced fish and chips in Australia. For $75 we got 8 x squid rings, 4 x prawn cutlets and 8 x fish cocktail pieces (barely the size of...the lemon slices each) and the regular serve of chips which hardly filled the box they came in. Seriously could have spent $75 at the Ex Servos down the road to feed the 4 of us and each had a huge plate of food. I am a local and had not been here for some time, but never again. Probably better prices down at the wharf. However I gave 2 stars as the place was clean, service was fast and the quality of the food was ok (although I have had better chips).More
After waiting for ever and paying over $70 for 3 fish and chips and 6 scallops we chucked most of it in the bin. Chips soggy and fish very very basic Never again !

We called in to grab a takeaway dinner on Easter Monday and they were pretty busy. Despite this, our order was taken quickly and we received our food in 15 minutes. Grilled fish was great and I loved how the staff make sure when you...order it that they tell you it has a light dusting of flour which is fantastic for those need gluten free meals. Chips were good as was the salad. Highly recommended!More
Ridiculously overpriced for the quality and quantity of food. The fish cocktails are smaller than the lemon wedge in the pack. Cost us $110 for fish and chips for 4 people…. Insane!! Was really disappointed 😭

Underwhelming food - small serves of fish, battered baby prawn at $3.50 each is too expensive, chips are skinny fries. I wouldn’t recommend.
$33.50 for this! Absolute Rip off Must be new owners as this use to be the place to go. Customer service was rude and i felt like i was a inconvenience
