They had a really really good pasta. The grilled chicken was excelent as were the grilled shrimp. My kids declared it their best ever Pina Colada sin alcohol. This would be my first choice for eating in Las Terrenas. Great break from hotel food.

Good Food, Good Service, Pretty Beach Views

My wife and I found a table with a great view down the beach and settled in for a long lunch. Started with two tapas (stuffed mushrooms and a Spanish tortilla), then shared a fabulous plate of shrimp in garlic with sides of rice and mixed vegetables. A bit too much food for two, but all delicious. Friendly and timely service as well.

Great Wifi, great margaritas, what else can a girl want

I am a digital nomad, travelling and working across the world, in my time at Las Terrenas, I came to Xo many times, in morning for my calls, for coffee, and ending the day in evening with drinks. The Margaritas are AMAZE, try the strawberry for sure, You can sit and work in lot of places, the Wifi works amazing, During the morning, its quite empty and you can ask the staff to turn down the music and work with a view to the sea, and eat. I love the mini hamburgers and the Spanish omelette. The staff and the owner are really helpful, you can leave your devices and go to the water, and they will take care for you. It was really my second home in Las Terrenas, mini office, mini bar, and a place I could feel home.

Terrible.

We visited XO this week during our stay in Las Terrenas. The decor is nice and the service was good, but the food was really terrible. The fried calamari was almost inedible and the fish was so over cooked it was hard. We did mention something to the staff, but no steps were taken. Las Terrenas has many amazing restaurants to choose from. This was hands down the worst place we ate over our week long stay.

Food was wonderful. Pasta, steak. The TBone was prepared perfectly w a great taste. Spinach Ricotta Ravioli was perfect. Crab w tomato sauce pasta was very tasty. Service was great. This is a must try. Thanks for the great meal, service and atmosphere.

Good experience post-hurricane

Came by here recently with my sweetie. The place was pretty empty (on a Saturday night), had no problem getting a table looking out on the ocean (though it was dark: pretty much unable to actually _see_ the ocean.) We started out with the crab-stuffed zucchini flowers and the ham and cheese plate. There was only one variety of ham and one of cheese, but they were good both by themselves and made into little sandwiches with the crusty bread accompanying. Zucchini flowers were pretty good, quite hot when they came out, but eventually cooling enough to pick them up and dip them. We had hoped to get the handmade ravioli, but due to the hurricane they're not available (though they're expected back soon.) We ended up with the pasta, mine with crab and hers with shrimp. Large portions, parmesan cheese on top, I was spooning up the sauce after I finished the pasta. We had our choice of sauces: my wife had the white sauce while I had the cheese sauce. I thought mine the better tasting of the two, though the crab was pretty finely shredded into the sauce, no significant chunks to be found. No chocolate mousse to be had that night, so I settled for the flambeed banana, which would have been better a la mode.

Best restaurant in Las Terrenas

If it comes to restaurants, I am very picky. But to XO Las Terrenas I camed back twice. Why? Great and friendly service, five stars view to the see and beach, excellent food! And corkage to bring your own wine is 400 Pesos or 7$. Go for shrimps à la criolla or casserole Del Mar and to finish a tiramisu!

Long service, bad not fresh food

No good, no fresh. We ordered a plate of seafood, the fish was not fresh, the pieces of fish seemed to have been heated more than once, they threw in empty shells without shellfish, put in 4 shrimp and one half of longustine, the squid from the bag was frozen and dried in a frying pan. Grilled vegetables from a package frozen carrots, peas and zucchini. Fresh pineapple from sour pineapple. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, the price does not correspond to the quality. The sea view alone is normal, the food is not. I don’t recommend this restaurant, just have a coffee by the sea.

Last year I gave it a 4.5, this year...what can I say... The kitchen was perfect…BUT I would have a tuna tartare….5 minutes later…sorry no tartare I would have a veal chop…5 minutes later…sorry no veal chop I’ll have crab…5 minutes later…sorry no crab… Can the waitresses know the menu? I remained very courteous despite everything. In addition, the boss was not very far away and it was saved rather than coming to explain the problem to us...leaving the waitress to fend for herself. BUT ABOVE ALL…on the bill…on a good bill of more than 12,000 pesos… Asking the waitress: Is the service included…..no… So ma'am...the tax is 18%?...yes So the 10%...the ley...what is it?...I don't know... If I understand correctly we add 10% to the bill like that…. If it is explained to me that this amount is distributed to the team and that the waitress only has a share...I understand. ….otherwise, what do we call it? I wouldn't go back there again...good food but not crap

This place was amazing. From the cigar offered at the entrance to the FOOD 🙌 I will definitely return. Their mojitos are THE BEST. I tried the shrimp ceviche and mango and I can honestly say it was worth it!
