The couple owning the place makes you feel at home since the moment you come in, and home made is also most of the pata and sauces. We began with an appetizer plate of prosciutto and the most exquisite guanciale ever, proceeding then to enjoy 3 large pastas, including cacio e Pepe and a good penne allo scampariello. The house offered biscotti and mamajuana to finish a splendid and inexpensive dining. Bravo! If you sell the place open a new one quickly!

Unforgettable experience

I celebrated my birthday at Tio Belo restaurant with my family and we had a wonderful evening. Monica, the owner of the restaurant, had set up our table "as a party" with fresh flowers and pampered us all evening, making sure everything was to our liking. We ordered several courses to taste the delicacies listed on the menu and with each tasting we were pleasantly impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the care taken in preparation. I've been living in the Dominican Republic for 5 years and until now I had never spent an evening like this... I felt at home and it was a really nice birthday present! The cuisine is excellent, the atmosphere is delightful and the owners are very hospitable. If you find yourself visiting Las Terrenas, don't miss having a great experience at the "Tio Belo" Restaurant. I celebrated my birthday at the Tio Belo restaurant with my family and we spent a wonderful time. Monica, the restaurant's dueña, had prepared our meal "like a party" with fresh flowers and we watched it throughout the night, making sure that everything was to our liking. We ask for various plates to taste the delicacies that appear on the menu and with each tasting we are gratefully impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the care taken in the preparation. I've been living in the Dominican Republic for 5 years now and have never been a day like this... I felt like I was at home and it was a really nice birthday present! The cuisine is excellent, the environment is enchanting and the owners are very hospitable. If you are visiting Las Terrenas, don't forget to live a great experience at the "Tio Belo" restaurant.

OK. First, make a reservation! You don’t want to miss this place. Second, whatever you get it is going to be incredible. We all had different dishes and I tasted them all. Everything was wow. Third, order the Tiramisu for dessert. Don’t say you’re full. Don’t be on a diet. Don’t be stupid. The tiramisu is worth it even if it causes you to have a heart attack and die. At least the last thing you will ever taste will be the best you’ve had in your life. Finally, thank God he allowed these people to find Las Terrenas and had them open this restaurant. ENJOY!

Handed menus with “NO” written beside many of the choices. Other choice that had a price were unavailable when we tried to order them. Suggest they start using blackboards with only available items shown. Food was good, but we came for a particular dish which was unavailable when we got there.

Not to be missed EXCELLENT Italian restaurant! Absolutely not to be missed if you are in the area. Tortellini, Tortelloni, lasagne, paccheri with sea urchins and mussels... in short, a wide and tasty choice. Abundant but above all delicious dishes... not to mention the friendliness, kindness and friendliness of the owners. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Las terrenas

Good no-frills Italian restaurant

Located in the second part of the main street of Las Terrenas, this restaurant has only a few tables (and therefore it is prudent to reserve, especially on weekends). This restaurant offers very good pasta and meat dishes. Service a little slow but very attentive. Reasonable prices.

True Italian cuisine in the Dominican Republic and more precisely in Las Terrenas you will find it here. Matteo and his Lady the owners are the undisputed protagonists of the scene with highly quality products that they prepare with great skill and creative culinary art with immense dedication and passion. Congratulations therefore to Matteo and Monica who, with experience gained over the years in Italy, represent this excellent cuisine in the world. Excellent table service thanks to the professionalism and kindness of the waitress Wilma. Maximum score therefore deserved. Final verdict: Highly recommended restaurant!!!!! Excellent and quality food. First rigorously handmade, see lasagne, tortellini and pappardelle, up to the best Modena restaurants. Monica and Matteo, the owners, special and welcoming people. We will definitely be back.

A discovery that surprised us. Usually Italian restaurants abroad are always a bit disappointing, but Tio Belo has proven to be a very respectable restaurant. Excellent food and friendly, friendly service. Matteo and Monica are truly two restaurateurs who know how to fully appreciate the flavors of Italy.

Genuine, very fresh products, true Italian taste. Tried pan-fried fish, homemade ravioli, linguine with seafood. Excellent meat sauce. Great kindness from Monica and Mattia. Best restaurant in the area. Prices appropriate to the quality! Have been back twice already…

Absolutely Fantastic! We were excited to try Tio Belo based on the reviews and it exceeded our expectations! We ordered from the specials menu, seafood cabonaro and a mixed seafood pasta dish...both were fantastic! The services was excellent and everyone was so attentive. Thank you for making this evening a wonderful experience! The only downside is that we wanted to return on Tuesday prior to the end of our vacation on Wed and they are closed on Tuesday's. We will definitely be back when we return to Las Terrenas!

A proper dinner

We are staying in las terrenas and reading the various reviews we trusted and tried this restaurant. What to say? Excellent choice!!! We've been traveling for a while and it's the best dinner we've had so far! Italian cuisine with a capital I!!! We ordered two first courses, I especially recommend the linguine with lobster…Delicious!!! The dishes are plentiful, the staff very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back for another dinner!!! The lady at the checkout was also very honest and kind!!! Top top top! For Anyone who stays in Las Terrenas must visit!!! Super quality/price!
