We are so glad we found this hidden gem! Pepe and his wife were so lovely and made us feel like extended family. Their hard work and passion for what they do is evident, and their restaurant is a relaxing and welcoming environment that makes for a wonderful evening filled with good food and good company. We had the ceviche and empanadas and are still talking about how good they were weeks later. We wholeheartedly recommend Emapanadas Y Mas to anyone in the area!

This is definetly one of the best restaurant we have ever been to and should be listed in every travel guide for Las Terrenas.
Everything is just perfect: the meals, the quality, the atmosphere, the hosts, the drinks, …
Pepe and his wife Yvonne are such good hosts, very attentive and cheerful. Communication works very well in English, little bit Spanglish and even some words German :D
Pepe is a passionate chef. You can definetly taste all his passion in his meals. The presentation of the meals is also very professional.
We usually eat the fresh fish here: shrimp, gilthead, etc because it is so fresh and delicious. Prices are also very, very good, especially when you consider the quality.
Drinks are also very tasty and inexpensive. My girlfriends loves the fresh ananas juice, and I prefer the drinks with rum: Cuba Libre, Mojito, etc
We like the atmosphere here, too, because of the hosts and because it is relaxed. The small restaurant is situated in a side street, quietly and not many bikes passing by. At the front table you have a nice view on the palmtrees of the parking space of a hotel.
We have been there 4 of 7 nights during our holiday and we will go there several times more :)

Love this place! The owners, Yvonne and Pepe are lovely, bright and friendly. Their fresh, homemade food is so good! We’ve been here twice in our first week and plan to go regularly while in town. Excellent flavours, wonderful pastry and good value for money. As this is a small family-owned restaurant, I would recommend reservations if coming for dinner.

Nothing really special. We ordered 2 shrimp and cheese Empanadas ($160 each) and 2 spinach and Philadelphia cheese empanada ($130 each) The empanadas have a decent size and they are very well stuffed. The dough was soft and thin which I liked 👍🏼
I didn’t like The spinach and Philadelphia cheese but the shrimp and cheese one was very good.
RD$580 for the 4 empanadas. In conclusion Not woth it, I think is expensive to me.
Good to know: is a very small place, no baby high chair, cash only, you can see their menu in the app Komida. I suggest you to call before you go to preorder because they can have lot of orders (+1 (829) 438-4708), they have Instagram.

We visited this restaurant three times during our week in Las Terrenas and each time we were wowed! We ate Ceviche at 6 different restaurant in Las Terrenas, some high end, and this place’s was the best by far. The empanadas are fresh and soooo delicious and the owner and his family are lively. I wished we had tried the mixed drinks as they also looked super good.
Great place to take little kids as they have toys for their own little ones!

This place is absolutely as good as all the reviews say, so we had to check it out. Chef Pepe and his wife make you feel at home the moment you sit down. Everything is fresh and made to order. The cocktails were fresh and delicious! It was such a relaxing and fun atmosphere with a mix of locals and tourists. But everyone was treated like a member of their family. Please make sure to add this to your list of food stops. You will not be disappointed!

We loved our meal here so much! Everything we had was extremely fresh and delicious - wish I could have eaten more!! We enjoyed everything we ordered, but favorites were the ceviche (we had the traditional one) and watermelon juice (better than an actual watermelon!). The empanadas were delicious too - beef was our favorite. Prices are extremely reasonable - note that it is cash only. Service is friendly and prompt!

Food ok, service terrible. The lady owner asked us to leave the EMPTY premises because we only ordered 2 empanadas. During the order, we informed that we want to try it first and we will order something more. Total lack of culture, especially since the place was empty. If you want to eat under normal conditions, I do not recommend this place.

Hola, no estaba vacíos había una mesa y estaba todo reservado dos veces, la gente comenzaba a llegar para cenar dentro de poco, hice una excepción en atenderlos porque daba los tiempos pero no puedo tener dos personas sentadas en horario de cena sólo con dos empanadas y nada para beber, por eso ofrecí que mejor llevarás tus empanadas y me dieras espacio para gente que de verdad quisiese cenar, de hecho fue asi, a los minutos entraron dos personas lascialescomieton empanadas Ceviches platos de fondo aguas y mojitos, un gran acierto!! i had seen here on trip advisor about the good epanads and thought i would look the restaurant up and try something new. little did i know it was almost out the front door of my hotel i ate there three times during my stay and really enjoyed the quaintness of the small restaurant and the honest hard work the owners put in to it. i also was surprised at how cheap a couple of epanadas and a coke were. less than lunch at mc d's but way way better. also enjoyed interreacting with their children. the oldest, 11, was speaking to us in english and it really tickled me how well she did. i could tell she knew the words but didnt get to practice saying them to anybody very often. fyi, dont come in looking for a fancy restaaurant, like i did. it is a very quaint "hole in the wall" place , seating for less than 20. liked it so much i ate there 4 times in 10 days

At this small family restaurant you will find the best empanadas and ceviche. Everything is very very fresh and made to perfection. The food is definitely 5 star quality and the family that runs the restaurant put everything into making it a wonderful relaxing meal for you. You feel you are eating in your family’s kitchen. Please do not miss eating a meal or two here you won’t be disappointed.

Fresh and delicious empanadas with some chilean touch since the owners are from Chile. While we were waiting for the empanadas we had a great talk with the couple, they were very friendly and kind. I really liked the spinach-cheese empanada, thin and delicious crust and generous filling. I recommend this place, specially if you like fresh food and supporting small businesses.

This may well have been our favorite event during our stay in Las Terrenas. We got lost trying to find it, but we were so glad we didn't give up. It's on a side street near the beach, and if you blink, you will miss it. Anyway, we were greeted by the chef owner, who explained to us how he prepared the fresh, daily catch. My wife reported that the ceviche was outstanding. The other three of us had empanadas, and they were all delicious. All in all a great experience.

Make sure you reserve a table few days in advance! There are only 4 tables inside. Its owned by a family and food is local. We had seviche 500-600 pesos, empanada (prices are 90-160 pesos), traditional Mojito 300 pesos and a beer around 200 pesos. It’s not cheap, but tasty food.

This restaurant is located in a perfect place very close to the sea and to the most common hotels of Las Terrenas. The food is simply amazing, especial the empanadas (of course). The whole family is serving at the table, also the two daughters, that makes you fell like you are at home! Extremely recommended

We discovered this place by chance as we were looking for something authentic (original) and away from the standard tourist food. We were positively surprised, it is a small family restaurant, the man is in the kitchen and the woman serves. We had empanadas and cerviche, very good quality for little money and everything was fresh. Some big restaurants could learn a thing or two from this.
