Everything from this kitchen is made with love by a wonderful couple. We came back -- twice.
I tried a few appetizers and all were tasty. My favourite main is the gnocchi with blue cheese. Friends were happy with their choices which also included shrimp, fish, and the grill plate.
The desserts are delicious, especially the Chocolate Salami which I will now make at home. The wine list is limited but they have made nice selections at very reasonable prices.

In November 2019 five friends from Poland were lucky enough to be exploring the beautiful island of Dominican Republic.
There were many memorable places but the one that we especially cherished was the restaurant "Plaza Delfin" in Las Terrenas.
We were there for several days. We loved the presentation, quality, quantity and value for money of all the dishes we tasted in this amazing establishment.
The atmosphere of this place is amazing and very picturesque. Having the chance to experience our meals outdoors amongst the palm tree leaves and the sound of the mesmerising sea, we were admiring interior design of the place so much that it made us sad every time our evenings were coming to the end.
Setting off for various day trips on purpose we were avoiding any other restaurants just to be able to return in the evening to our beloved place and it wasn't only for the fact that we lived nearby.
We were visiting Dominicana for two weeks and we can say honestly that for us "Plaza Delfin" is culinary numer one.
The owners of the place: Nigerian Izaak and his wife Friderice with Italian roots are warmhearted and amazingly professional people. The interior is incredible and the service is excellent.
We want to recommend this place from the bottom of our hearts and taking advantage of it, we want to greet Izaak and Frederice very warmly

Excellent! This tiny restaurant is a hidden gem. It is an open sided room up narrow stairs; the background noise is the surf from the beach not far away. The menu is extensive yet each meal is cooked to order by the chef. Expect to have a leisurely evening in a beautiful, intimate setting. Although you won’t have room for dessert, you still have to finish the evening with the coconut flan.
Service, food, atmosphere, and value are superb.
This restaurant, like many in Las Terrenas, is not handicap accessible.

Staying in las Terrenas we had spotted this set back restaurant a couple of days ago and thought we six would see if they had space for us this evening. We were met by Isaac, chef and host who welcomed us, charmed us then fed us wonderfully. This place is so worth a visit. The food is home made, takes Isaac time to prepare and tastes amazing! Nothing fast about it. No additives. Just great ingredients, a chef and his Italian wife dedicated to great food, their son who helps keep young children of other diners entertained and a fabulous evening. Thank you Isaac!

We ordered a serving of fresh homemade pasta with shrimps to take out. We were greeted by Issac, such a warm and friendly man. Must say that the pasta was to die for!!! Thanks to the magic hands who prepared the dish! DELICIOUS!!!!

Trust the reviews and reserve ahead. The charming couple who own this lovely little restaurant serve up exceptional food and conversation. We started with avocado bruschetta followed by the Robalo filet with pasta with vegetables on the side. Wonderful. Finished with a delicious coconut flan.

We have visited this restaurant twice. And everything was really excellent. The chef Isaak is friendly, English native speaker and do everything for your pleasure. When we were in his restaurant for the first time he told us about his cuisine and recomend us some food. In addition avocado toasts were as a compliment. We tried shrimp pasta, miro fish, tuna steak with rice and vegetables . Everything was fresh and delicious. It was a pleasure to talk to his sun as well. Definitely will visit this place again

Oh my goodness, what a delightful find! The location is cozy and peaceful, Isaac is so warm and friendly, and he helped guide us to some delicious choices. The bruschetta starter is fabulous, made with fresh ingredients and good oil (my partner ordered a second plate!). For our mains, we had the recommended lionfish - one of the best fish of our whole trip - and the homemade tagliatelle with shrimp and tomato sauce. The chocolate salami for dessert was lovely, nice texture and flavor. Nothing was too expensive (cash only), and we left feeling we had gotten a great deal. I would gladly recommend Delfin to anyone traveling through Las Terrenas!

Restaurante Plaza Delfin was the only place my mother and I visited twice during our stay in Las Terrenas. It was as much for the warm spirit of the chef as for his excellent food. Anything off the menu is excellent and you really cannot go wrong. He makes his own pasta and also has very flavor filled curries (not spicy, just very delicious) The ingredients are all fresh and the menu is Italian forward with some inspiration from the chefs travels and life. We very highly recommend you visit!

Little gem in Las Terrenas.
It s such a special place, either the dishes and atmosphere are amazing.
This place is a little treat and plus the owner is a lovely person.
Little lovely touch like a free starter place make you feel welcome and the pasta we order was great. Definetely a must do

Our family of four had a lovely evening with Chef Isaac George at Restaurante Plaza Delfin. Each course was personally introduced by Isaac and distinctively delicious. The bruschetta, lion fish, coconut flan, chocolate salami, and a passion fruit cocktail were standouts. Thank you, Isaac, for a meal our family will remember very fondly.

We dropped in by coincidence. It was a great pleasure to meet the host and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the cosy place at the first floor. We felt welcomed and experienced an evening with good company, tasty food (the home made ravioli are just fantastic) and excellent wine! Thank you very much!

We went as a family to this restaurant because we were staying very close and the day was rainy. We were the only diners. We went with two girls. The service was excellent and so was the food. A place of immense peace with the sound of the sea in the background and good fish on the table. To come back.
