We stopped in on a rainy day for a quick lunch after the museum across the street. Concept is fantastic and elements of all the dishes we had were great but just lacked a bit of panache. Kids quesadilla and buttermilk chicken were both good...but lacked and real garnish. Smashed spuds were really good. My wife and I both had the brisket sandwich, the brisket itself was superb, smoky melt in the mouth goodness with an excellent herb dressing. Unfortunately it was served on a rock hard ciabatta style bun rather than something a bit softer so whilst the bread did soak up the flavours you’d need to have the jaws of a crocodile to eat it as a sandwich. Would definitely return but if I fancied the brisket would order it without the roll!More

Called in for a steak tonight and was not disappointed. The steak was perfect and the whole meal was well presented. Would visit again

The service was amazing with a very upbeat attitude and bright smile, The drinks were delivered at a good pace with a very good mix percentage! The menu’s were given at an early time which gave me and my partners father plenty of time to...decide on what we would like to eat. We enjoyed the selection we were offered and thoroughly enjoy our meals that were cooked and prepared to perfection! Will definitely be back on a regular basis! We loved the atmosphere and had a great time wining and dining here at Slow Cuts!More

Food was incredible, as per usual. Unfortunately the lady prancing around in the white dress knew nothing about the local wines and didn’t know that the Pinot Gris was in fact from the UK and not Central Otago/Cromwell. Also the fact that we could hear...her personal conversations from our table was unpleasant to say the least.More

Ate here in November with a group of 12 people - perfect. Great drink selection - beer ( have sours), cocktails ( chilli capriosca ) and wine. Obviously well recognised for the bbq selection People I was with loved the steaks - I had the...half chicken which was off the bone and in a salad style. Delicious and a little lighter. Service was fun and funny. Highly recommend.More

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. The cheese burger was delicious. Hubby had the brisket and it was melt in the mouth tender. And the smashed potatoes are a must

We got the special of the day, slow roasted pork belly with mustard mash and asparagus. This was really well executed. All elements were great! Roast chicken with tarragon was...odd. Not unpleasant but not what I would've expected. It had curry aromas and I couldn't...discern any tarragon flavor. Mac and cheese average, slightly dry. Servers were lovely :)More

Waiters were friendly but a bit lost had to request forks and salt and pepper, food looked great but flavours were off. Very average. Pork ribs were cooked well but heavily let down by the marinade and the rump was over cooked (didn’t even ask...how we wanted it) and the butter that came with it was just weird- capers and lemon?... Over all just a bit average which was a let down cos it seemed really cool! Great potato’s though!More

We were recommended Slow Cuts by one of the Queenstown locals. We loved both the food and service. The restaurant had a great vibe, the service staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We loved the food here and it was exactly...what we needed just before we started our day. Highly recommend this place!More
