My son and I had a fantastic meal here early after a day in Arrowtown. The food was devine and the staff were completely knowledgeable about the dishes to help with some food intolerances. By 5.30pm the place was humming - i couldnt believe it...- a real credit to their management approach and food quality. This was the only resturant on our trip who were not visibly or verbally dissapointed when no alcohol was ordered. Best meal of our trip!More

The staff here, particularly the maître d were wonderful. Best service on our whole Sth Island trip. I had booked during lockdown but our table wasn’t great—-they saw my disappointment and quickly moved us and gave us a complimentary glass of bubbly-(our anniversary) so kudos...for that. Thankyou. Fab happy vibe so I can see why it’s so popular and it has a well thought out interior and furnishings...so the food... I may be unpopular here but the croquettes with jamon we shared was average. They were ok but nothing special. We then had the paella for 2 as we wanted to stick to authentic Spanish food. It was very tasty but we were disappointed there was not enough chunks of blue cod. Felt a bit skimpy for the price. The wine that our server recommended-Albariño- was just fabulous and complimented the meal. So I wish I could say this was an unforgettable fabulous meal but in all honesty it was...so so. We had a lovely night here for our first meal in Arrowtown but for us la Rumbla didn’t really deliver. I think we’d try it again.More

We liked this place. Four of us, after the Crucible Lake hike, enjoyed tapas on a larger scale than usual - six dishes served four well. They have an expensive but delicious Priorat wine, for which I am a sucker. Without that wine, prices are...reasonable, service warm and professional, and the food was delicious.More

If you want fantastic food, great wine and a fun atmosphere head to La Rumbla. A group of 7 of us came here on a Saturday night. The restaurant was pumping but we still had excellent service. All the food was great - the guys...that ordered the paella loved it, my fave was the marinated fish, Potato Bravas were also a hit. Go there!More

We were not booked on a Wednesday night and we needed to as La Rambla were fully booked. However, the staff were very accommodating and they sat us at the bar. Service was prompt and efficient. We ordered five dishes for our family of four,...two adults and two teenagers. The Tuna Tiradito was absolutely magnificent and the standout dish for us. All up with drinks, the bill was very reasonable at $161 dollars. We loved it.More

It was worth a speedy trip across the Lindis Pass to get here in time for the Sunday long lunch. What a treat it was to have fantastic, friendly service and delicious food, wine and cocktails on our first holiday in a year! Oh, and...Sam the music man was the icing on the cake. A must do! We can’t wait to returnMore

Our first visit here and definitely not our last. We could not get a booking but they seated us at the bar which was a wonderful place to be and watch all the cocktails being made. The meals were superb, cannot be faulted. The sharing...worked out perfectly. Don’t miss the opportunity to dine here.More

This was our 3rd visit in as many years to La Rumbla and each has been memorable for all the right reasons. Today’s visit stood out due to the amazing level of service provided by the staff - without doubt some of the most professional...hospitality service I’ve ever received both here and abroad. Attentive but discrete and helpful without being condescending. It cannot be faulted and full credit to all that work there. Add to that simply delicious food, an interesting cocktail and wine list and good ambience and this place stacks up as one of my favourite restaurants in NZ.More
