Found by accident while out driving! Enjoyed a comprehensive tasting of Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignon. Free as we booked in for lunch when we arrived. One of a very few wineries where you can taste wines right up to and including their expensive reserves. Excellent...More

Just up the road from Trinity Hill. Another excellent stop for high quality Gimlett Gravels wines. Chardonnays were all well priced and very much in the modern style. Excellent staff with all the right answers! Wines were $5 to taste pp for several wines. As...More

Had the grazing platter plus extra's to bulk it up for $140 supposedly feeds 5-6 people?! What a rip-off, barely enough for two people!! When I asked the restaurant manager is there more food coming because that's not $140 worth? They brought out a small...More

Hi there, we're sorry to hear your experience didn't live up to the high standards that we work hard to deliver here at Te Awa. It's upsetting to see a guest is unhappy and so we've taken your response on board and asked our staff...More

We visited on a biking trip around the area and knew food was available, but we were surprised by the quality of the wines and all the cellar door staff. Brittany in particular was knowledgeable and friendly. Lana served us well in the restaurant and...More

Te Awa is based on shared plates rather than ordering individually, and the concept works well with their carefully designed menu. We arrived early and filled in 15 minutes doing a wine tasting at the adjacent 'cellar door' - handily located right next to the...More

The landscaped setting provides hints for the restaurant menu: seasonal and exotic. We got in the mood of sharing and as a result enjoyed a greater variety of foods than any individual would. And not to forget the wines. Service was excellent.

Drove by and felt like the right choice. Luckily, after enjoying some wine tasting, we could get a table on the garden and enjoy our favorite wine along with sunshine, great view and amazing food. Everything we had was perfect but the top-it-all was the...More

We pride ourselves on creating a relaxed and memorable Hawkes Bay dining experience. Our menu provides a taste sensation of local produce with a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern leaning. The dishes are designed for sharing and can be enjoyed with the premium Te Awa Collection wines. Set amongst the lush vineyard backdrop, nestled in the heart of the Gimblett Gravels wine growing region, it is a must visit dining destination.
