Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This small shop has amazing donuts and delicious coffee. The staff were very helpful and friendly as well. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next morning to try different donuts! Would highly recommend!!

On a recent few days holiday staying in Havelock North from Lower Hutt, we visited this bakery after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. We were looking to get a takeaway lunch. There was a huge range to choose from, but we chose a lemon curd doughnut, an apple turnover, and a ham/cheese/relish scroll. The young lady who served us was very friendly. I very cleverly walked out leaving the lemon curd doughnut on the counter, and the young lady very kindly ran out and tracked us down...thank you very much, we appreciate your great service. We ate our lunch on the Napier foreshore, it was very nice.

Delicious home cooking . The lemon-curd donut was absolutely gorgeous . The staff are very kind and polite and don't worry if an older person can't make up their mind about what to eat.

Called in to get goodies to take to family for morning tea. I stood at the counter for several minutes waiting to be served while the barista looked up and then ignored me and the three other staff members continued with what they were doing - none bothered to say that someone would be with me or even acknowledge me. In the end I said to one staff member - excuse me can I please buy something??? She was very friendly once she was serving me and the selection of goodies I chose were delicious. My daughter stopped in to buy some lunch to have on our way back to Taupo and had the same experience. Both times the staff members were not actually serving customers - apart from the barista making a coffee. Such a shame the service doesn't match the top food.

They open nice and early so I can pick up a coffee on my way to work nice and quickly. The coffee is great no matter who makes it, the staff and friendly and obviously like one another and work well as a team. It is s happy place. The sandwiches will keep you going until dinner and the baking is to die for. Those donuts and cheese scones are so good. Great to have such a high quality neighborhood venue and see so many people employed.

Who would think it? a real estate ad led me to Little Frimley Kitchen. I was served a super flat white and had a hard time choosing from wide selection of gluten free delicacies. The patio was immaculate. Buy your next house in the Frimley neighborhood, a slice of paradise.

First visit - met 2 friends here and enjoyed delicious homemade soup with generous helping of bread - I had really good toasted bread sandwich (indulgence). Understand this is more of a “call in and take away” when reading an earlier review but we were lucky to get seats. Great coffee, well made and hot. On my list to head back and share other treats with friends. Doughnuts looked amazing! Great range of gluten free treats too.

I cannot rave about LFK's pies enough. Having organised a catered work luncheon, LFK pulled out all the stops and we couldn't be more happy with the result. Tasty, larger than life individual pies, full of flavour and ingredients to keep any pie lover satisfied. I vote "best pies ever". And sweet treats to die for, don't get me started. For this level of delights, I think the prices are more than reasonable, and if you get a chance, pop into their lovely litte store for a coffee and sit awhile. Cheers to all the staff that helped make out luncheon a success. We'll be back!!

We're getting spoiled now! Yummy doughnuts - even better than a certain European bakery I thought couldn't be bettered. Beef bourguignon pies packed full with great quality beef, slightly bland in flavour but you can add you own seasonings I suppose. As for the people saying the prices are high - yes they are not cheap but then neither are the ingredients. You want cheap - go get mass produced supermarket stuff. Nothing wrong with that either, just completely different, you've got to compare like with like.

Beautiful cabinet food and nice coffee. Layout doesn't quite work with huge tables inside, and two tiny tables outside. Nice coffee but be prepared to wait. Have visited half a dozen times and barista stops to serve customers/ get food and stops to deliver coffee so waiting 15 minutes is normal. Busy place and nice to have a cafe in Frimley but high prices for some food definitely noticeable - $7 for a pie is too high for our family. Very high quality food which may be why the prices are on the high side. Service always friendly.

Hello Antarisha. It was never my intention to be listed on tripadvisor and I hoped it wouldn't happen, but here we are. (oh joy!) So to introduce my business properly, Little Frimley Kitchen is a small bakeshop focusing on great Maina blend coffee and hand made baked products, healthy sandwiches and soup. There is some seating provided as a courtesy to people waiting for coffee or food to be heated and the odd person that wants to eat and go. We are NOT a cafe. Maina can be all that, but that's not who we are. This is a space for us to bake and produce yummy food. All our puff pastry is made by hand with loads of butter. All our pie fillings are actual casseroled export quality meat from Gourmeats in Havelock North. As such, the pies should cost more than they do. If they were any cheaper, then I would be producing them at a loss. In fact when pies are wasted at the end of the day, then it probably isn't worth my while, but we love what we do. You can buy a similar product but made with commercial margarine based puff paste from a cafe or restaurant and pay much more that $7. Being a small business, and not a cafe, our barista serves as well as making coffee. There can be a small wait during the 2 busy times of the day. We all help on the till and work together as a team. I understand Frimley hasn't had a nice place to buy coffee before so it's a privilege to serve the local community with a good product and beautiful Maina blend coffee, roasted by Hawthorn. Come in and introduce yourself. we love to get to know our customers.

Newly established in Frimley, Hastings this is an exciting bakery/ cafe. Limited seating indoors and outside with just two tables and high stools. Amazing selection of bakery goods..sandwiches, venison and beef bourgionne pies, caramel slice, custard slice, brioche...savoury and sweet and a very exciting range of doughnuts. A barista is on deck for coffee. Fairly short afternoon hours. You’ll want to take something home with you after coffee and initial choice I guarantee you!
