Relaxed atmosphere with a hint of Americana!

Went for Brunch one weekend recently and was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and well presented. The service was a bit slow but we were happy with our meals overall.

Fish and Chips with fries

Sept 2017 • solo

Arrives on Saturday during the annual Spring Parade. Decided to have lunch and watch the parade. Ordered the daily menu item Pan Fried Catch of the Day. Good amount of fish, salad and fries. Enough for two people to share. Price $17.

Dissapointed

Took my elderly parents for lunch, service ok but quite a long wait for the food. Tacos and burger just average but the fish was terrible, old overcooked and dry. Prices ok but doesnt make up for dissapointing meal. Gave it a try.

Service shocking, food teribble and toilets disgusting

When we ate there, it took ages to be served, although the place wasn't busy. We asked for menus, but they never arrived and in the end we ordered at the bar as waiting staff were far and few between. We got our own drinks as again waiting staff were milling about, but not interested in serving. When the food finally arrived (after having to ask twice), it was terrible - complete yuk. We didn't bother sending it back as we would have retired by the time they got back with a replacement. My meal didn't arrive at all, but given the look of the others, I am very glad about that. The other meals were tasted, but not finished. Overall I don't recall a meal and service as bad as this. We did call the Manager who eventually arrived and when we didn't want meals replaced, he offered me a coke since mine hadn't arrived at all. I rated 1 out of 5 as there was no zero rating. Just a shocker and a place to be avoided at all cost. Further, we overheard other tables that night complaining about the service, food and toilets, so it wasn't just us.

Winter Dinner with hubby in front of a lovely flaming wood burning fire

We utilised a grabone voucher to try the Food Store Canteen and ordered a seafood pizza. Great selection of wine and beers and I had the Clearview Pinot Gris and hubby had as craft beer. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pizza arrived and was huge and the most delicious pizza we have had smothered in a selection of seafoods. We could only manage half and the staff provided a container so we could take home. We enjoyed it so much we have since returned twice
