Went to Wata for breakfast this morning. The staff were very polite and friendly. Great breakfast menu at really good prices. Cabinet food looked great but we decided to order from the menu and it was no effort to get exactly what we were looking for. The food came out in a relatively short time, was hot and the best sourdough toast I have tasted. The eggs and bacon were great as well. Tea arrived very promptly and a glass of water was provided as soon as we sat down. Highly recommend to cafe and will definitely return in the future.

We stumbled across this lovely cafe as we walked through a carpark and were not disappointed. One of the few cafes open in Nelson on a statutory holiday and an extra bonus was that there was NO surcharge. The cafe is clean and fresh with cool decor and lovely friendly staff. The service was prompt and the coffee was really good. We will be back.

From the moment you enter the café you are made welcome with a cheery "hello" from the staff and excellent service. The selection of cabinet food is so appetising I defy anyone to resist having a snack even if they've only come in for one of their smooth and creamy coffees. Wata is my favourite café in Nelson and I've tried them all. I have watched this young team from when they first opened and they should become the role model for all cafés. You only have to watch the barrista making your coffee with such attention and care to know that they love what they do. Keep up the good work.

A cute wee popular cafe in the heart of the CBD, it’s had a name change from what it was previously when I came here some time ago. Busy when I came in for brunch but service was fast, every customer was greeted promptly by a staff member and then served quickly. Food came fast and nice. Great selection of cabinet food here as well. Inside and outside seating as well as takeaway or eat in house options.

A hidden gem. By chance we stumbled upon Wata and were thrilled we did. It doesn't have the 'curb appeal' as other cafes, but once inside it's terrific. Lovely food, nice decor, but the best bit was the delightfully warm and welcoming staff. Well done team!

Wow! Super coffee and breakfast topped up with fabulous service. The gluten free corn cakes with salad, bacon and extra poached eggs, were fresh and delicious. My partner had the BLT bagel with chips… for breakfast! His choice. Quick service with a smile. Great almond milk coffee for me. Thanks so much!
