Quick trip in/out of AKL - stopped overnight at Jet park Hotel and ate dinner at the Fish. Exceeded expectations! We were tired of the usual fish & chips so ordered up all the side vegetables and salad - pleasantly surprised at the quality of the veg, piping hot potatoes (ok so we DID get some chips!). Wait staff pleasant. Offered us a sampling of two wines to try before we made decision to buy. Nice bar area and outdoor beer/wine garden for a cocktail pre-dinner. Even though location is right on highway, soundproofing adequate. Good value. Kudos to kitchen staff who garnished each dish professionally.

As my husband and I were tired of driving that day we decided to eat at the restaurant on site and were certainly glad we did. My husband had the lamb which was tender and juicy with a nice red wine sauce on it served with fresh vegetables and roasted potatoes. I chose the lamb Greek salad which was done to perfection. And was served over a nice fresh vegetable salad with feta cheese.

We had fish and chips and cheeseburgers and fries for dinner. Everyone’s food was very good. Very large portions - two large pieces of fish and ample fries. We could have (should have) split a meal. Only downside was price was a little high at $64 for two people for two meals with 2 Coca Cola’s.

Shocking Restaurant. Staff looked unclean and had no idea who came in when. Waited 1.5 hours for food. Water on ti Able no glassed. Entree was bread that was inedible Main advertised as a T-Bone steak no T-Bone available so Sirloin was next best thing. Medium Rare, more like dead on the plate. Staff didn't care. No other option is the Airport hotel restaurant, they really need to wake up. Don't bother take a cab into town.

Had an excellent meal on a Tuesday dinner service. The place was busy, and while i was seated quickly and order taken, it was a bit of a wait for the food. But... it was well worth the wait. The chicken dish was very tasty with an unusual sauce (wine reduction?) and the side of vegetables was also cooked to perfection. Very pleased with the entire meal. I will happily come back.

We were staying in the hotel so the restaurant was the convenient choice. But we were not to be disappointed. The food was delicious and the staff friendly and well knowledged.

Ate at the hotel restaurant before heading off on an early flight in the morning. Seated and ordered quickly. Wine arrived from the bar and left on the table unopened for us to pour ourselves. Meals arrived within 15 minutes. Seafood risotto rice undercooked and crunchy. Prawn curry tasty but would have appreciated a more thorough discription to include tomato base and king prawns, it would have influenced my decision to order. Waited more than 30 minutes for a dessert menu. Ended up going back to the room and ordering room service since we were both still hungry. I can forgive poor food, but there is not excuse for terrible service. Would not recommend.

The Te Maroro Restaurant is in the Jet Park Hotel and Conference Centre. Our shuttle driver recommended it as the “best place to eat around the hotel.” In our view, he must have been right. As you walk toward the reception desk of the restaurant, you notice many awards posted on the walls. There are several bad reviews posted, but I suspect those are from before the time of the current chef. The service was very good and we were seated right away. The food on the other hand was excellent! The next time we are in Auckland, we will eat at Te Maroro, even if we aren’t staying at the Jet Park Hotel.

The last time we were here I seemed to recall good size servings but that was sometime back. From this visit I would suggest you order a side with your main to be sure. The food was pleasant enough and maybe it was good that I left the table feeling a little hungry. I had an eye fillet. Two others had lamb mains and there was one who had fish. I'll know if we go back next time.

Service was lacking. Exceptionally long wait for food despite the restaurant only having two other couples in it. Had to ask several times where our food and drinks were. Food was not as described and when questioned about it said that it didn't come with it. This is not what the menu said. Overcooked. Mains served to rest of the table an hour before two guests got their entrees and when they finally received their mains the rest of the guests at the table were leaving. Poor standards, constantly have to go looking for a waiter. Had to go to the bar to chase up where your drinks were and even then often had to go looking for a person to attend you at the bar. This was a Saturday night for goodness sake. No wonder the restaurant wasn't full. We had prebooked for a table of ten plus one one year old so they should have been prepared.

I ate here multiple times during my stay. Generally speaking the food we served was good and breakfast was delicious. However there was one time when the food that arrived was a completely different standard to what we had eaten previously and it was disappointing. Hopefully this was a one off as the next trip it was fine. We had one incident where the rest of my table had been served and eaten and my meal was yet to arrive. When i asked about it, i was told it had been accidentally dropped and was being remade. I was waiting for over an hour in the end. While an apology was received, there was no attempt to compensate me. However the meals are yummy, i would recommend ordering a side to go with them. The Bao buns was my favorite meal. The majority of the staff were friendly and nice but there was one in particular who succeeded in letting us know how much of a pain she thought we were. Perhaps she could do with some lessons in customer service.

Our flight was cancelled so we were not here by choice! However food was nice with some unusual touches - the cheese plate was especially nice as was the pan fried fish. Service was friendly and the meal arrived quickly. Recommended if staying here - not sure if I'd go otherwise.
