Great service and friendly staff. Awesome fries and fresh fish, but the deep fried battered fish was way too greasy that we could only handle half of the battered parts and felt a bit sick after in the head.
Thank you for your feedback, I'm sorry to hear your fish was a bit greasy. We pride ourselves on serving well drained fish n chips. More
The OH & I had a 'catch of the day' (Groper) each, and shared a scoop of chips (thanks to the advice of the young man on the till). I also ordered some mushy peas. Thanks for your feedback. Great to hear you enjoyed your meal, that's a common comment with regards to the mushy peas, ours have a kiwi twist. :-) More
We went in to this fish and chip shop late one night and were so glad we had! The fresh battered blue cod was lovely, crisp and tasty and not greasy at all. The chips were the kind that are crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. Next time we're in Kaikoura we will definitely be returning!

Monday evening in Kaikoura, the town has not much to offer around this time of the year plus Mondays most of the places are closed. And so we had some fish & chips. Service attentive and quick, food hot and fresh, quality not more than average.
Had a lovely pile of fish and chips, washed down with some L&P lemonade, first time I had tried that beverage. Food was cooked very well and reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly.
Sooo yummy and fresh fish, service is great and if you eat your meal out on the tables under the umbrellas you get free tomato sauce. Been there twice this week.
