My friend & I came here for an early dinner on 8 October.
We ordered satay chicken skewers for entree. We followed up sharing a plate of King prawn on vegetables & Thai omelet. Both were served with different sauces which were delicious & not...too hot.
Overall service was excellent = The maitre d was efficient and waitress a lovely, engaging young woman (It was her first week on the job). Her new career choice bodes well, given her attentiveness and ability to engage well.More
We had a quick stop, lunch at the above restaurant.
We have visited before which was pretty good
So I ordered a lunch dish which was average not much love there
My partner had the special which was wonton soup sounds nice with noodles bit...strange but anyway it was a bowl full of hard noodles with 3 wonton a piece of spring onion and a broth which was pretty tasteless si I paid and the soup was 23 dollars 🤔and my main was 15 with meat etc
A total rip off . shame really as it has put me off going there and I'm sure they think oh passing trade so dosnt matter,
In fact it does with this present climate so that's why I gave a 1 markMore
The pad Thai was great, served in a n egg basket, a great touch.
We turned up early on a Friday evening without a booking, and they were able to fit us in.
Service was great, guri puffs, pad Thai and peanut sauce with chicken...were great.
Staff were friendly.
We would highly recommend.More
Food and service were ok but really not what we had hoped for.
The main owner was great, friendly and approachable. The waitress though didn’t feel like she cared much, had to get her attention just to order, didn’t mention the main meal didn’t come...with rice when we ordered which we would have done if known. When she came with the additional rice she didn’t ask if we wanted any more drinks even though we were empty. Just a little lacking on the personable touches.
Had the pad Thai which my partner enjoyed but I found was so over powering with fish sauce that I couldn’t have eaten it. The sweet and sour chicken didn’t come with pineapple which is a key ingredient and had to ask for rice once it came as it wasn’t clear at time of ordering.
I think it would have been better as a takeaway but wouldn’t go back. Quite pricey for what it was.More
Wow. What amazing food. I’ve eaten a lot of Penang curries all round the world but I think this one was one of the best. The starters and the Pad Thai were also so fragrant and just damn tasty. Lovely service and very quick. And...great value for money, This place will be our first stop next time we’re in Kaikoura,More
The bloke seemed like a good bugger but Gordon Ramsey should be calling in here and putting it on his kitchen nightmares show. We editing an hour or so for takeaway. They were certainly busy and lacked staff but it was just all over the...place. Quite entertaining to watch actually. The food was edible but that’s as positive as we could be. Sorry mate, would definitely not go back here.More
Nice Thai food not too spicy for family meal. Great selection. Only criticism is that we took a long time to be served even if they’d taken drinks order first that would’ve helped. However it was a very busy long weekend. Otherwise would go again.
