Stopped in for a takeaway coffee and ended up staying for a delicious whitebait sandwich. Staff behind the counter were excellent and contributed to our decision to stay for a bite. Very entertaining, not to mention friendly and helpful! Good coffee - best we've had...so far in our travels, anyway.More

Went there for breakfast as part of our stay in Hokitika. Good bacon and eggs, coffee and hot chocolate also good. Have had better in our travels though so couldn't honestly give it a 5 star review - sorry. Friendly staff as well.

This cafe is excellent. Went for breakfast and got poached eggs on toast. The eggs were superb and the coffee was hot (which makes a nice change) . We left with our compliments to the chef and lovely young lady who made our coffees and...2 scones to have during the day. Very reasonable prices .More

We had read about the clock tower Cafe, and the mixed reviews, but decided to go anyway, as we were leaving Ross and the Historical Empire Hotel behind, and the food there is hard to beat. Stopped at the Cafe for brunch and we're so...glad we did. Two of us had eggs Benny, and gave them a 10 out of 10 rating, eggs perfect (one asked for hard eggs), the other orders were, steak and blue cheese pie, steak and oyster pie (incredible), whitebait fritter dinners, mango smoothie amd coffee. No one was disappointed but we have to just add, the whitebait fritter was more of an omelet, very eggs. Having said that we make our own whitebait fritters, and have perfected the art. It needed some crunch and less egg to whitebait ratio. But we understand this is a Cafe. And I will add we got a second smoothie for free, so we'll done guys, awesomeMore

We concluded a shopping trip at Jade Mountain in Hokitika with a snack at the restaurant next door, the Clocktower Cafe. The atmosphere was cozy, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the bakery items were delicious...all enjoyed on a beautiful summer morning, while looking...at the cute little Clock Tower in the middle of the intersection outside the cafe.More

A most decent cafe to pop into. Their pies were good, as were their chips & a nice selection of drinks & cakes etc. Seating was comfortable. It was a pleasant place to sit eating & drinking for 30/40 minutes. Service was fairly prompt too....Try it.More

It was good to find this place open on a wet Saturday afternoon and we were revived by a nice coffee and scone. Attached to the jade centre next door through which you must pass to visit the toilet. I wonder how many return to...the table with a little extra present?More

This lady impressed me as she was careful to ask me how I liked my coffee, strong, medium and took care to give it to me that way. The added bonus is the magnificent jade place next door. Coffee was good, food looked fine too.
