Wanted to see what the hype was all about and they did not disappoint!! Super tasty sandwich and a tip… just go for the half! I struggled to finish my half and my partner had to take half of his double away!

We called in today for a late lunch and were lucky to get in just before closing time. Wow, we were not disappointed. The sandwiches were huge, delicious, packed with fresh ingredients. The cafe is really funky, and the staff were great. If only Nelson...had a place like this. We really enjoyed the loose leaf Earl Grey tea too.More

This was my 3rd visit to HSC at Hokitika and I have been to their Christchurch business once. My experience has been consistently good. We pre-ordered 2 x half vegetarian sandwiches on-line; and reached in time for the same. The sandwiches were ready and served...straightaway. They were as delicious as I remembered. Being lunchtime on a Friday, the place was busy. I was glad I ordered ahead of the visit, which is also my recommendation! HSC never disappoints. May its good quality and consistency last long.More

So yummy! Worth a visit! Best sandwich I’ve had in a very long time. My partner and I decided to share the Italian and chicken sandwich (wanted to try them all!). Both were delicious! Simple ingredients but done so well, fresh and local. The team...that served us were also super friendly. Have now also realised there is another sandwich shop in Christchurch too so will be adding that to my list for a visit.More

There were nine of us riding the Wilderness Trail and we needed a good lunch. Solution was to order sandwiches from Hokitika Shop. Problem solved, each sandwich was a hearty portion of filling nestled between a ciabatta bread. We had a variety of fillings and...all were delicious. At $11.00 each they really hit the spot. The sandwiches here are just delicious. The beautiful fresh bread makes it for me, and yummy aioli and fresh ingredients used. I love that they have kept it simple and focus on one main thing, and do it well. Our 2 year old daughter loved...her kid’s sandwich too.More

There is a reason why the Hokitika Sandwich Company has so many high ratings-probably some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I love a place that masters something and doesn't try to do a whole load of things mediocre
