I will give this restaurant a 5 star, I made a complaint about the size of the Camembert entree (1/2 size), they immediately offered money back or replacement! My husband had an amazing steak meal & veggie, very much enjoy. All staff were impressively outstanding,...especially the you lady who took our orders. Very clean restaurant, with a lovely ambience. Thank you.More

On arrival waitress showed us to a table and took orders but was seemed distracted and somewhat disinterested. However, the waitress who took over our table after this more than made up for this and we couldn't fault her. The pork belly was the highlight...of our meal and would highly recommend this. Only negative was it was very muggy and overly warm in the restaurant which we mentioned on our departureMore

Once again, we cannot fault the meal at this restaurant. ! The meals were superb! Only one thing, we had to ask for a waitress to come take drink orders.

Was close to where I was staying so thought I would pop in. The food is so devine and huge portions- think American size. Service was quick and friendly. I can see why the locals like it. Would eat here again

Nice little cozy location on a cold day. Nice to have a free toast and drinks bar with the breakfast.

We had the panfried fish with kumera wedges and grilled salmon. Seems quite hard to find a decent fish restaurant in Greymouth, this is it! Service is great too, we will be back!

We were recommended this place by several friends once we said we were staying in Greymouth for one night. Wow they were so right, amazing menu, great service, wine list that had great local wines. We shared the salt and pepper calamari, succulent and fresh...with a tasty fresh salad. Hubby had stuffed chicken breast and I had the special fish of the day, lemon herb crssted groper with prawns on a kumara rosti with salad. Both dishes so tasty. Thank you Buccleugh's, you are a gem. Hope to be back.More

On a recent South Island road trip with our Zephyr car club (North Island Central Region - ZZOC) we stayed at the Gables Motel just along the street from Buccleugh’s restaurant & bar in Greymouth. Great location for our group. The staff here were very...friendly and super efficient. The menu choices were hard to make - plenty to tempt everyone. Our group of 40 dined there 2 nights in a row. First night was an arranged set menu. And 2nd night off their menu. Lots of delicious choices. And we’re already looking look forward to our next visit!More

We visited for a work dinner as a group of 14 adults. It was a busy Thursday night with a pub quiz taking place next door but the service was fantastic and the wait staff attentive. The meals were all arrived at the same time...which was much appreciated. The blue cod in tempura batter with chips and salad was a very generous portion and absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend Buccleughs to anyone looking for great food and great service.More
