An unexpected treasure in an otherwise unremarkable town. Great range of Speights beers on tap, good friendly service and really nice food. We had the whitebait fritter sandwich as a shared starter, followed by lamb shanks and Butterfish. Not cheap, but highly recommend nonetheless.
We went to Speights Ale house in Greymouth last night. Apart from being served very very late in the evening despite providing our preferences earlier in the day, the steak I had was terrible, fatty and tough.
The food choices are varied and all delicious. Service was warm and friendly and it was a great place to have lunch after getting off the train before traveling farther.
