Had dinner and breakfast the next day at this very good restaurant /cafe
Extensive Middle Eastern menu , friendly service - sometimes a bit stretched as the place seems very popular and get very full . Large servings and food delicious
Would definitely visit again...if in WhangareiMore
We were recommended to this restaurant by a local and were so pleased we took the good advice. The food was incredibly tasty and really good value. The hummus is the best I have ever tasted. Great service and friendly staff. Definitely to be recommended.
I have had two meals there on recent holiday. The meze plate - lots of delicious pickles, dolmades,labneh- love this cheese - new for me!, homemade hummus and other tasty bites. Ad also had a chicken schnitzel pita. The pita was very satisifying - chicken...was yum, the hummus, salads great.More
We have been coming to the Fat Camel for years and have never been disappointed. Having spent a few weeks in Israel (and having gone there for the food) we know what good Israeli food tastes like and this is right up there with that,...hands down it’s the best Israeli food in NZ.
We’re not from Whangarei but whenever we’re in the region, we go out of our way to go to ‘The Carmel’. Our recommendation is to get the lamb pita- always delicious, filled with pickled veges, hummus and lamb, there’s no doubt you can’t get a better meal in Whangarei!More
The Israeli food here was so good that we went back twice on one day. Having lived in the Middle East I am a fan of Lebanese and Israeli food, I have yet to find anyone who makes falafel, tabouli, and hummus in Christchurch. And...as a vegan I was more than happyMore
