Beautiful setting, scrumptious food and friendly attentive service even tho they were super busy. Had a slight mix up with the eftpos payment which was sorted quickly...and efficiently. We like Mokaba for its great range of delicious cakes and sweet treats. Really yum. We've had pretty disappointing brunch food there though, and this last try was no exception. The big breakfast and vegetarian breakfast were both super ordinary (pre frozen hash browns, barely...ripe tomatoes), and the food wasn't hot. It came out so quickly I doubt it was freshly cooked - just pre-cooked items assembled, which would perhaps account for it being luke warm. Our third meal didn't arrive, and eventually, when two of us had finished our meals, it turned up. The staff were apologetic but no-one had bothered to come over and let us know there was an issue. Overall not a great experience. Next time we'll stick to the cheesecake.More

Lovely, relaxed Friday brunch in a great location. Attentive, friendly service. Enjoyed my meal selected from standard brunch fare menu.

It was packed when we arrived for brunch. We were seated in what was like a walkway to the restaurant. It was separated from the main seating areas. This was fine with us. We went up to the counter, ordered our meals etc. The meals...were great, the kids pancakes were so light, our granddaughter loved them. The service was fine. All in all very good. My concern was we had to ask if they wanted to see our vaccine passes. In the current environment that we are in, this is not good enough. I hope that they are more on top of it in the future.More

I had french toast and it was very average. It had 3 big slices of baguette, which was far too thick and too much.

We had a coffee on one day and a lunch on the other. The food was delicious both from the cabinet and the menu. Their ordering system involves long waits both to order the food and then to receive it. On both occasions they forgot...items for our table, but we enjoyed the food itself. Both times nobody checked vaccine passports and when we asked if they needed to see it we were told ‘no it’s ok’.More

This cafe is right next to the river so offer a lovely setting and view of the water if you have a table outside. Inside however is dark and damp and not at all cozy. The food is average but adequate. Over eagerness to be...efficient makes the service impersonal and creates an impression of impatience. If you are just after a coffee and bite and not fussed about the vibe, it will do just fine.More

Have never had a bad meal here. Come here once a week. Brilliant place. Full breakfast is always good!

They have a great variety of yummy cakes on display! Go and have a looksy to have with your coffee/tea.

Visited for morning tea - coffee was great. We returned for lunch and enjoyed the small breakfast which was very nice and good value.

Lovely setting, great food and diverse menu. Staff were fast about having our meal delivered to us and despite a wee mix up with the coffees nothing was a problem for them to sort. The servings were large and generous and with that lovely view...made for an amazing lunchMore
