Came in for breakfast...found a table inside no problem. VERY noisy, based on the time and number of people, the floor is bare as is the ceiling, so all sound carries. It doesn't help that t he barista is a noisy one (banging the grounds, flicking the filler, etc) and the queue to order at the counter is annoying. The food when it came was good and the portion generous. Again, my pet grouch is, when offering sourdough (especially when you don't butter it) PLEASE make the portion sufficiently thick that it doesn't cut the roof of your mouth or gums when you bite it...this was SO thin, it wasn't worth it.

Ive been here before and enjoyed it, but it was incredibly noisy on a Monday morning with high number of people having to shout with a building site next door.
The wifi seemed weak, cutting in and out frequently also.
Coffee was not brought as a long black as requested and the cappacino half strength tasted like a double shot. The plum cake was divine but was also extremely sweet.

We had a coffee on one day and a lunch on the other. The food was delicious both from the cabinet and the menu. Their ordering system involves long waits both to order the food and then to receive it. On both occasions they forgot items for our table, but we enjoyed the food itself.
Both times nobody checked vaccine passports and when we asked if they needed to see it we were told ‘no it’s ok’.

It's not that there's anything bad about this cafe, it's just the simple result of buying the cheapest furniture, the cheapest ingredients, and topping it off with a $2 CD from the bargain bin. The service was fine, the coffee passable, but everything about the place lacks flair. It's kept alive by tourist buses, and it shows.

We like Mokaba for its great range of delicious cakes and sweet treats. Really yum. We've had pretty disappointing brunch food there though, and this last try was no exception. The big breakfast and vegetarian breakfast were both super ordinary (pre frozen hash browns, barely ripe tomatoes), and the food wasn't hot. It came out so quickly I doubt it was freshly cooked - just pre-cooked items assembled, which would perhaps account for it being luke warm. Our third meal didn't arrive, and eventually, when two of us had finished our meals, it turned up. The staff were apologetic but no-one had bothered to come over and let us know there was an issue. Overall not a great experience. Next time we'll stick to the cheesecake.

We had the poached eggs. I had the sweet potato fritters with avocado bacon and grilled tomatoes. My partner had the bacon and grilled tomatoes. Great coffee and we are picky. Lovely tables and right on the riverfront overlooking the marina. The lunch menu looked yummy too. We may have to go back.

This cafe is right next to the river so offer a lovely setting and view of the water if you have a table outside. Inside however is dark and damp and not at all cozy. The food is average but adequate. Over eagerness to be efficient makes the service impersonal and creates an impression of impatience.
If you are just after a coffee and bite and not fussed about the vibe, it will do just fine.

Lovely setting, great food and diverse menu. Staff were fast about having our meal delivered to us and despite a wee mix up with the coffees nothing was a problem for them to sort. The servings were large and generous and with that lovely view made for an amazing lunch

This place is at the end of the strip of touristy shops and cafes on the riverfront. That definitely helps it be more relaxed and gives it a nicer atmosphere. Plenty of outdoor tables as well as indoors. Good selection of breakfast and lunch dishes. We ate there for both meals! Good quality food and decent pricing considering the location.
Parking can be difficult in the pay and display lot. Try the side streets for free.

As a coffee snob I am difficult to please but I loved the coffee made by the very busy Baristas. Every morning I had small flat white skimmed milk double shot. Lovely. The choice of cakes is well worth a look

It was packed when we arrived for brunch. We were seated in what was like a walkway to the restaurant. It was separated from the main seating areas. This was fine with us. We went up to the counter, ordered our meals etc. The meals were great, the kids pancakes were so light, our granddaughter loved them. The service was fine. All in all very good. My concern was we had to ask if they wanted to see our vaccine passes. In the current environment that we are in, this is not good enough. I hope that they are more on top of it in the future.

This place was fantastic. Slightly on the pricier side of breaky but so delicious! Had a great range (paleo, standard, children friendly, etc.), very yummy, beautifully presented, goregous setting. Cost around $55 for two (my meal was a half portion, which is fantastic that they offer!). Very popular place and can see why. Would definitely recommend and intend on returning (tomorrow in fact)

We have visited this cafe several times and the coffee has always been good - flat whites, chai lattes, cappuccinos and iced coffees! The outdoor seating overlooking the quay is particularly pleasant, especially on a summer's day. The service is fairly quick considering how busy the cafe usually is! The staff are friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Excellent service, food and beautiful setting
Visited today for lunch,our first restaurant visit in 2 years, since COVID. Beautiful setting, scrumptious food and friendly attentive service even tho they were super busy.
Had a slight mix up with the eftpos payment which was sorted quickly and efficiently.
Would highly recommend and will definitely dine there again

Poor service, cold food, not served at the same time, liquor license being renewed, so had coffee. Coffee came out but hadn't seen any food for half an hour so had to check if our food was coming. Finally one cold dish and some soggy wedges.
