We decided to make the most of a gorgeous sunday and took our motorbikes for a gentle cruise out to the Tahi Honey Cafe. Open for its last day of the season, it was perfect. They had fabulous shade sails up over the outdoor tables,...which made it lovely and cool. The coffee was lovely, the food was well presented and very tasty, especially the farmlands bacon (which was the best bacon I've had for ages) and I really appreciated the extra customer service when I enquired about the brand of bacon, and was also given some advice about how to cook it the best. I will definitely give it a go! We can't wait for next season, we will definitely be back! Thanks so much!More

I visited the cafe along with my friends. Was created by a charming and motivated staff, the cafe itself is beautiful it a hand carved table to sit on. Food was worth it’s price. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming out this way, with walks...on the beautiful property on Sundays!More

Great outdoor eatery on long bench tables. Lovely ordered breakfasts. Bagel was delicious along with breakfasts that others ordered, and so was any of the cabinet food.

My salad was so good my wife ordered one after having waffles. However, I cannot recommend waffles - food made from white flour & sugar just doesn't do it for me. Mt daughter's scrambled eggs were very good & luckily for me she could not...finish them all. I like the use of local produce, eggs & meat where they can but I'm not keen on brought in food from third parties and like most other joints some of this was being sold. Great location, especially with the wetland walks available around the property. This establishment is part of a honey extraction plant which means it has some product for sale.More

Thank you for the amazing idea to grow a beautiful little community. We loved your cafe, the setting, staff and food and popped to the beach afterwards to a float in the estuary. We must come back and do one of the walks (paste from...website - ranging from a short 15-minute Cafe Walk through native plantings and a restored wetland; to the more challenging 2-hour Forest Walk that guides walkers through the stunning native forest on the lower slopes of OhuaTahi).More

Came here for lunch as a group. Most were served at the same time with my daughter and I waiting for half an hour after the rest of our group at which point we complained. Owner was not accommodating and tried to say it had...only been 15mins... my 12 yr old daughter raised how rude she was. The place was half empty and struggled to keep up.More

We stayed in one of the cottages run by Tahi estate (Tara cottage) and ours was just a stone's throw away from Tahi cafe - they offer great, fresh food in a nice location on the road to Pataua North. Their honey is awesome!

Located just short of the Nth beach at a seriously impressive Honey production enterprise. Excellent food and icecream. The honey is brilliant manuka... don't drive past..
