I had the Bene True Story for breakfast. Fantastic! 2 poached eggs on potato and garlic rosti plus very fresh spinach and pesto baked mushrooms. NZD 20. Excellent large flat white to go with it NZD 5.50. This is a great address. :))

We opted for the tortilla with a side salad and smoothie each and were a bit surprised at the cost. However it was a very tasty meal. This cafe is in a very old building on a side street in Whanganui and until we stumbled on it for lunch I did not know it existed. Service was good and quite prompt.

Ordered the vegemania and tarty toast, both came out quickly and were well presented and delicious. My long black was strong with no extra water as asked for, the other had a lemon, ginger, honey which was throughly enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the cafe very clean and quite busy. Overall we were very pleased and will be back when we are next passing through Whanganui.

Best oat flat white in town and absolutely delicious food. The prices are consistent with other cafés, but the food is better, with good vegetarian options. They are just around the corner from the main street and well worth the 1 minute walk!! If only they opened on the weekend I'd take my partner there for brunch

Honestly best little cafe in Whanganui, chill, relaxing and the work I got done without distraction was great. Service was great. Sorry great is an understatement, the service was exceptional. Keep it up team! Whanganui needs more Cafes more so like this one.
Not sure why I was recommended to go to cactus cream. Isn’t great compared to this little cafe. Ahhhuui

I see I wrote a review in Jan 2019 about this place and was impressed then. I did say that we would be back and I am sorry it took so long!
Happy to report the place is still fabulous and we really enjoyed our lunch, thank you so much.

We were large group of 14
We had pre ordered breakfast . When we arrived on mass everything flowed so smoothly . Food was fresh and nicely presented .

I just love this cafe. The food is excellent and you must try their fantastic tomato soup with a large fresh warm roll with butter. I have eaten here often and it never fails.

Good honest food and delicious. I am dairy and gluten intolerant and they cater for the likes of me. Also prepare vegan dishes. Would thoroughly recommend a visit there.

We had a meeting lunch and it was a bit late for the usual lunch crowd so nice and quiet. Lovely vegetarian choices along with the range of other stuff.

Had lunch at Mischief & if you are a vegetarian this is the place for you. scrumptious Cafe food all prepared on premises and awesome menu mostly vegetarian.
chowder & Tomato soup excellent & menu had plenty of vegetarian options. So good some were sold out.
Try it you will return.

Wonderful food, I am in love with their eggs benedict! Brilliant coffee and iced chocolates. Love the sweet little outdoor setting, nice touch having the herb garden and strawberries outside.
