This is my go to place for specialty oils, pizza ingredients, pasta - whenever I feel like a foodie treat or a great coffee

It's got a very wide selection of handmade small-goods and tasty food. Staff are friendly and they made a meal up for me even though the kitchen had just closed (was a good meal to, didn't take any prep shortcuts). I liked the atmosphere and you can sit at the window and watch activity in the street.

What's not to like about this innovative local collective-come-cafe/deli with great food and produce? Some suggestions to staff, especially older woman at counter: smile and greet people, especially tourists .. we may come back; acknowledge long wait for service; speak more to customers than other staff; invest in some reading glasses.

I've had lunch here several times, and have always been satisfied. The menu is varied and it's good value.

We had the plough mans lunch and quite frankly it was terrible. Not a good selection of food. One cheese. Bread was boring. One bit was a normal slice - out of a packet , slice of bread. The wait was too long given they were not busy. I also had a caramel slice. It wS very dry. Would not... More

Loved how the food was abundant and not too limited like most high teas. They also offered a wide range of teas and barista-made coffee which is not offered in many high teas. Beautiful presentation of food as well.

We were surprised to see this review after speaking to you personally before you left our cafe/deli where you were assured of freshness, as well as offered a refund. We, the chefs at Ambrosia, have started work at 5.45am for the last 8 years. Each morning batches of sweet and savoury scones are made, and placed into our refrigerated display... More

Fantastic coffee and a great selection of cakes to go with it. The salads are also great with a wide range of other savory treats for lunch. The deli is also excellent. Highly recommend Ambrosia.

This could be like just one of many cafes doing good tea and coffee. What makes it different is the decor and setting. This place has a pleasant atmosphere and if they opened at night it would also make a nice little restaurant focussed around intimate dining. As it happens we were just there for afternoon tea and it was... More
