Wonderful spot to take a break from the driving. The cafe is in a good setting, great choices from menu and you can also buy some products. We had pancakes and strawberries. Whilst the pancakes could do with some more flavour we enjoyed the meal. Service was fine. We also picked 2 kgs of strawberries ourselves which was great.

Stopped at the cafe for one of the recommended fresh berry ice creams. We all had a different flavour and all were delicious. The Cafe itself sold other berry products but left a bit to be desired to be honest. We were hassled by lots of bees and wasps hanging around which detracted from the experience.
Not much happening in the berry department at this time of year, but they did have some available for sale.

Such a busy spot during summer, I would have to say the pancakes are very expensive and I probably wouldn't get them again, they were yum but not for that price.
They definitely need to improve on their customer service but overall we enjoyed our visit.
My favourite treat was the deluxe strawberry milkshake, we will definitely be back for that!

We stopped by to get an icecream on the way back to New Plymouth from Whanganui...and wished we hadn't bothered. Staff on the till (who looked about 15) didn't have a clue and would just walk away to ask someone a question about something - training has obviously been minimal. She just left the customer standing there while the queue got even longer. There was absolutely no sense of urgency from anyone behind the counter, the man making the ice creams would wander over to get the ice cream, go back and put that in the machine, then wander back again to get the berries. Could he not be efficient and get both in one trip????? I ordered an icecream and was told the wait would be 10 minutes (by theaforementioned 15 year old) 30 minutes later I was still waiting and there people ahead of me who had been waiting even longer! We walked out in disgust in the end without asking for a refund as God only knows how long THAT would have taken. I bought some strawberries to take away and they were the most tasteless strawberries I have ever eaten. Give this place a miss and go to Paradise Valley berry farm near New Plymouth. Their berries are delicious and their ice creams and service are great!.

Its a berry farm amd also an amazing cafe. Good coffee, yummy dishes and cabin food. Berry ice cream, smoothes, amd various berry products to choose from.

Understaffed for volume of customers. Waited 20 mins for a coffee, and after 40 mins still didn’t have ice cream I ordered. Ice cream machine looked like it wasn’t working properly. No attempt to engage with waiting customers. Inexperienced staff on cash register. Left without ice cream.

Went to pick Strawberries - lots of lovely tasty strawberries to find. and we also had strawberry and/or mixed berry icecreams. So Good.
lots of parking, lots of people around. queues to get served as it is so popular.
worth the half hour travel to get there!

We stopped in on impulse, seeing the number of cars in the car park. Even though it was 2.03 the guy taking our order said he’d make pancakes. So glad he did! It’s April - well past strawberry season - but the strawberries were delicious. My husband said the pancakes were amazing and there was enough to share. I had a berry smoothie which was perfect. So yummy. And the spinach and feta twist I had was really tasty, too. Highly recommend.

We are staying near by in Waverley. We thought we would stop by for breakfast and we were not disappointed. We had delicious pancakes, oozing with strawberries. My family and I all had delicious smoothies, with different fruits.
Then we discovered the cutest Alpacas! Mars and nugget. The lovely farmer helped us hand feed them. Overall we spent a lovely morning here at the berry farm. Highly recommended

The famous berry pancakes were amazing! A massive portion, with delicious berries. Luckily my husband and I were sharing! My sister had a delicious berry smoothie. We got to feed alpacas. The team were very fast and friendly with their service.
We were nervous after reading other reviews. But glad we took a chance as we had a great experience. We did go a bit earlier in the morning, around 10am and it was simply Devine.
10/10 would recommend this one. Go there and show the team some love! Buy some berries to take away.

would like to review but with a wait like that we didnt stop, they really need to get more staff on busy hot days like today, lots of people doing the pick your own, lots of people like us pulling in looking at the queue and driving out

Stopped in on our way home and was happily surprised we could pick our own berries. Came away with strawberries and raspberries which are so good - and so much cheaper than in the supermarkets. Great activity for a family

Food was amazing, and despite being very busy the service was fast and correct. They also followed govt requirements and asked for our vaccine pass which was nice to see.

What a cool place to go. The staff are very friendly, the menu small but complete. And the setting very rural and relaxing.
The service was very good. The coffee nearly as good as jolt. And the meals very good.
