It's a long drive from Wellington to New Plymouth so my lovely wife and I stopped here for a quick rest stop. Drinks are OK but pretty basic e.g. no marshmallows in the hot chocolate. Muffins are small and not great value at the price....More

All smiles when taking your order and your money. Then, we sat, waiting ...... as the coffee machine was being repaired. We still ended up with a tepid coffee and no apology. Mud Ducks has a top spot, close to the I-Site and the freedom...More

Nice coffee and a large selection of tasty pastries on offer. Next to the iSite so you can browse your brochures with a cuppa. Pleasant terrace overlooking Taupo Quay and adjacent to a large free car park.

As stated it was better than average, but not much. We went as it was next door to the I Site. coffee was good but it lacked something.

Stopped here on a 5 hour journey on our way to New Plymouth. We found the I-site and it was situated at the side so thought we would give it a try for lunch. It was quite busy, so we ordered a coffee and ravioli...More

Having been here once before and not thinking much of it, I was pleasantly surprised this time. Lovely staff who were chatty and friendly, drinks were great temperature and tasty too. Busy vibe going on but easy to chat with friends, nice outlook over river.

Great coffee and a nice mushroom/spinach on toast with hollandaise sauce. It was quite busy and a bit of a wait for food to be brought out but drinks were quick.

It has good food and the location is very nice. We were there on a busy Friday but we waited at least 20 minutes for our lunch which was a toasted sandwich and stuffed kumara.

We arrived by motorcycle (parking available across the street) to a crowded and busy sight. After placing our order we hunted for a spare table. Finally found one. The coffee came over quickly and it was followed by our orders of poached eggs on toast...More

I am a vegetarian and there is lots for me there, but also vegan, dairy and gluten free. Great folks and always helpful. There is also a menu in addition to the cabinet! So do revisit Whanganui!
