Best pies around. Hot chocolate is up there. But, the experience and kiwiana of the items and antiques give this place a sense of atmosphere that no other place can match. Top rate and a must of anyone passing through Wanaganui!!

The sandwiches and pies are just great. Large, full of everything and tasty. Bit pricy at $8 per pie by Wangavegas standards. Service was pleasant but the coffee very average.

We stopped for a quick coffee and ended up ordering a pie after seeing how wonderful they looked. We tried the meat and onion pie, and it was great. It reminded me of a southern Sunday dinner of slow cooked pot roast, onions and gravy....More
