I have visited the Blend for brunch and lunch on several occasions and found the food to be delicious, and very good value. The coffee is excellent and the staff and service always welcoming and friendly. I look forward to trying out an evening meal!

Three of us visited for morning tea and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Good sized and excellent coffees and the savoury scones were absolutely delicious, light, fluffy and tasty. It was a great start to our visit to Wanganui. Obviously also that this is a very popular cafe as it was busy throughout our visit.

My friends and I decided to have dinner here one night. We were very impressed. The menu had good variety including options suitable for vegetarians. I had teriyaki salmon which came with an array of sides like mash & gravy, prawns, salad, fries, and spring rolls. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. The mash and gravy was the best I have ever had. My friends also loved their meals. I would definitely eat here again.
To top it all off, the service was excellent. We had a blonde girl serving us and she was very polite and tended to our needs so well. I cannot fault her amazing customer service.
Thank you to the team at Blend. We will be back :)

The meal came with mushrooms not mentioned in the description of the pork belly menu. Staff did not handle the situation and the service was very poor. We ended up having to swap meals as my partner is allergic to mushrooms. No apology and waitresses was arrogant. We will never dine here again.

I'm fussy when it comes to corn fritters but these were great. Would definitely recommend. The coffee was great too.

My hubby and I went for brunch today 4.3.21 he had the avocado and bacon I ad the bene eggs with pork belly all was deliver very quickly well presented and best of all so damn delicious. We both will be back and recommend anyone giving them a go .👍👍👍👍😋😋😋🙏🙏

We found this place unexpectedly but highly recommend and would come back, red curry was fantastic as were the pork gyzola. Tasty, well seasoned and reasonably priced.

A group of us booked The Blend for our Christmas end of year function. We pre ordered from some excellent choices so the service was coordinated and smooth. The meals were lovely, friendly and helpful. Very enjoyable.

1st visit. 4 of us went for xmas get together. Entree, main, dessert & coffee were all excellent as was the service. A bit pricey but worth it. New favourite restaurant!

The prices were reasonable, the dishes creative and the servings were generous. From what we observed most of the restaurants in Whanganui were more traditional burgers and pizza places, not oriented to the foodie crowd like us. The beef main setup dish was plenty of food for a hungry person. The scallops were equally delicious and the wine by the glass was a great value.

We visited this restaurant for the first time the other night. It had an amazing atmosphere and a fantastic menu. There was choice for everyone. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Be sure to book though as it does get very busy.

It is always a great occasion when everything connects in a restaurant...great front of house staff, efficient waiting and bar staff and above all an excellent chef. A group of 18 of us were booked in for a Thursday night dinner and the whole experience from start to finish worked seamlessly. As we were a large group they asked us to pre-order as a help to the kitchen staff. This we were glad to do. They emailed a copy of the new menu that started last Monday and I coordinated the needs of our group with the front of house. Two of our group had unfortunately to pull out on Thursday due to unexpected circumstances but again the administration worked successfully and this turned out not to be a problem.
Coming to the food I took a brief survey of our group and the unanimous conclusion was that this was a great night out with all round excellent food. The Fusion-theme with different styles of Asian foods works a treat. A number of our group had particular dietary needs and this was handled without fuss by the kitchen staff. Our drinks orders were well managed and we were very happy with the presentation. As it was my birthday I was surprised and delighted to receive a miniature cake with candle prepared by the chef. It was neither expected nor required but a wonderful gesture that crowned my day.
When it comes to speaking of the staff words fail me. They were happy, cheerful people and nothing seems to be too much for them. It is clear that there is a very good team running this restaurant. At the end of the evening I made a special point of asking for the chef so that I could thank her for all the effort she had made to ensure a special night out for us. I'm definitely coming back.
