Great service. Great beer. Has the chef ever had nachos?? The chef must go and try nachos elsewhere. Tough ground beef with no flavour does not a nacho make!!! Ours wasn’t the only uneaten plate of nachos left by customers. Really not a hard dish...to get right!!More

This is a Monteith's Bar. Sadly the staff seemed more interested chatting with mates whilst watching the queue at the bar grow longer and longer. No apologies for the wait and distracted service. Ordered nachos, they were huge! Perfect size to share. Perfect chip to...topping ratio but disappointingly the beef was tasteless. Redeeming feature....the outside courtyard is a beautiful and shady spot to sit and sup a cold brew on a hot, sunny day.More

Great place to go for a beer, often head down on a Friday. Don’t recommend going for a meal any time soon. Went there last month and ordered a basic fish and chips meal and my girlfriend ordered a chicken dish. The fish was so...over cooked I could bang it on the table and it still wouldn’t break, it was also dark brown/black, which you could take a guess that means burnt. It was very expensive too. The chicken meal wasn’t bad, but was less than you’d expect for the price paid - which I’ll add was also very steep.More

We have dined here twice in the last couple of months and have been impressed by the beer variety and the quality of the pizza.

Extremely disappointed and left hungry , currently eat roast shop and McDonald’s. Ordered platters one of each on the menu, meat overcooked and little of it , coleslaw straight out of a bag from pak n save, guacamole definitely a packet . I could go...on and on about the food, just terrible. The service was no better, took ages to get the drinks and no one asking if anyone would like another, the staff were miserable and inattentive. I’m not sure if the place has new owners or a new chef but needs sorting out as this place used to be much better, won’t be going back any time soon .More

Popped into 'The Brewers' for a set 2 course dinner ahead of seeing an intimate show with comedian Ben Hurley. Lovely chicken dish and a not too bad Tiramisu. You do need to try some of the new ales on tap!

I wouldn't be in a hurry to return to this establishment. Meals were extremely disappointing. My meal was beef short ribs with seasonal veg. Well I got 2 buttons of over cooked beef on a rib. (I've seen bigger buttons on a rain coat) and...4 carrots and all for $34. I did write to the establishment to give them a chance to make good or reply. They did neither. I know that the person who booked the evening didn't pay for their meal as it was so bad. I should have done the same.More

We had a table booked and arrived about 20 mins early to grab a drink. We sat in the bar area but never got taken over to a table. We had to go and ask again if our table was ready and then they still...didn’t give us one so we went back and asked for menus. I ordered the chicken burger which was good and the Whittaker’s pudding for dessert. It was burnt on the bottom very badly so that was disappointing. I also ordered a rum and coke which was very weak, I ordered a second which was better. Overall the customer service was not up to standard. This place has potential but the staff need to be trained better.More

Dined here with a small group of people and we all enjoyed the experience. My chicken burger had a nice spicy kick to it and the staff were friendly and helpful. A fellow diner enjoyed her pork ribs and I’m keen to try them next...time myself. Will be back!More
