Four adults ate here at 6.30pm on a Saturday night (we had booked which was just as well as they were turning people away). Food was yummy and was delivered to our table very quickly - the mains came out straight after the starters (done and dusted in 40 mins). Mains were a good size. My only complaint was it was very noisy and you couldn’t hear each other talk above the noise of the kitchen and the other customers (we were seated next to the kitchen).

Many options of where to dine in Palmerston North but this restaurant topped them all!
Wide variety of food and affordable for the whole family. Such delicious fresh meals, even the fussy kiddos finished everything on their plates (very rare scenario!). We ended up having lunch there 3 days in a row!

Have visited a lot in work groups, family, or as a couple. The staff are always nice, and get the order 100% correct every time when I visit.
The food is always good, especially the steamed pork buns! and of a consistent quality. Lots of variety and a delicious range of drinks.
The food always arrives promptly and is steaming hot.
The only other thing I would say to improve is that the wooden benches can be a bit hard for sitting, and I would love it if they would put the red bean paste dessert back on the menu.
They also run cooking classes on Saturday afternoons so that gives them a point of difference to other restaurants.

We eat here often. Although we arrived late at about 1.45pm there were still a few other customers there.
Unfortunately, we did not receive very good service from the beginning. The waitress did not meet my eye when I asked to be seated and it seemed like an imposition for her to clean the table before we sat.
We got our meal very fast, and it was delicious. Unfortunately, the service after that was still rude and slow.
This is a bit of a disappointment for a restaurant that we usually love to visit. Yeda we know you can do better.

Decided to try this place as I saw their $15 lunch specials. Placed an order for their specials which consisted of an entree and a main. The place had a nice ambiance and staff were friendly. Food was however just average in portion, thought the taste was mediocre. The presentation of food was also pretty average. It was a bit of a weird combo that they offer for their specials, a selection of Japanese and Thai style options. It’s like they can’t make up their mind. It would have been better to do 1 cuisine type best than to try and do both but average. I guess I can’t complain too much with it being $15. Will try other places next time.

One of our favourite go to restaurants for many years , where we have always enjoyed great food but a real letdown tonight .
The “mild” chicken curry was definitely hotter than mild , so the recipient could not eat it , the crispy pork was definitely crispy as was v dry & almost inedible - the ordered has had before & really liked - the greens were fine . The only one done well was the Spicy Pork & the Lychee Mint Fizz !
We will return as enjoyed so much in past .
We did mention when paid but the only comment was sorry - we think maybe the drinks might have been given complimentary as an apology . They were not alcoholic ones ..
Hopefully just a bad night but so disappointing as our friend was from out of city & we had recommended .

I was disappointed with the overcooked noodles, crispy pork and tofu dishes. I showed fishbone to waiter that I found in my fishbite, so children couldn't eat that dish, which I wouldn't pay for and they accepted. Children enjoyed the mixed entree, dumplings and edamame. Their highlight was the bottled marble drink.

We went dinner and ordered a few Japanese dishes. The Beef curry seemed cooked with curry pasta from Japan shop, Yeda fried rice and Yeda fried noodles were all plain. Sizzling fish was served in a cold plate. Sides were better.
Overall very disappointed

Monday night's they have 20% off mains and sushi and with many restaurants in town closed on a Monday night, we thought we'd try it out. And we were not disappointed. Great service, fabulous food and drink. We ordered 6 different starters and 2 mains and the 4 of us were comfortably full. So delicious. A must visit in Palmerston North

A really delicious fabulous meal, I just lived it. Being Coeliac there were many gluten free options and so many things I could try that 8 had never had the opportunity to try before. Fantastic service, very quick and efficient. I’d definitely go again!

Our first visit to Yeda and we will so be going back! We were with family in a group of four and had booked a table for 6pm. Seated promptly and as our fellow guests were regulars they suggested we try a variety of dishes to share. We ordered the pork and chive dumplings and chicken satay skewers as starters and it was no bother to add an extra one of each so we had one each. We had four mains and two large rice: sweet chilli beef, chicken and basil ( spicy quite hot), katsu chicken and the sizzling seafood. All the dishes were delicious, fresh tasting and flavoursome. Service was friendly and the food served quite quickly, so our fellow guests suggested we order the starters and then order the mains, otherwise the food can all arrive at once which is a little daunting and can spoil by going cold. It has a big shared dining table in the middle with smaller table on the outside. A relatively small restaurant, that aims to turn tables over so not really a place to spend an evening at, but we did not feel rushed but they weren't full but tables were turning over quickly. Food arrives promptly, veggies are fresh. All in all we loved the restaurant and only wish we had Yeda in our hometown but 15 minutes away is well worth the drive.

Great small plate menu, good sized mains and solid sake, wine and beer list. There is something for everyone on this menu.
Really enjoyed the spicy squid, dumplings and okonomiyaki with sparkling sake. Was fresh, tasty, well presented. Came to the table quick and service was with a smile.
Book a table in advance. The whole restaurant (and Palmerston North in general) was booked out on Friday night. This is a modern light and airy restaurant, tables up the sides and a long communal seat through the middle for larger groups. If you want to linger over dinner order your courses one after the other otherwise this place is that efficient you will be in and out in a flash.

One of our favourite places for lunch. $15 for miso, a starter and mains with rice from a set menu. Love the Japanese Curry option. Fast great service too. Huge menu of different Asian options.

If you are into good tasty food, give this place a miss. If you just want to stuff your face with huge quantities of an unidentifiable cuisine, this is for you. Phad Thai.. you wouldn’t know it. Nazi Goreng...not as far as I know. It all tastes the same and comes in huge quantities. Yuk, not for me thank you!!

It had been a while since our last visit, and we were 3 couples. We had a variety of entrees and main dishes between us, and were very happy with both the quality and quantity.
The only problem we found was that when the restaurant is full and everyone is talking and laughing, the noise level gets high, and there is nothing to muffle the sound.
