My husband and I have walked past this restaurant a few times and today we decided to go in and have a meal. We are so glad we did as we really enjoyed it. our mains were beef green curry and the duck in ginger sauce and both dishes were delicious. we will definitely be going back.

Our family of four had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner. Every meal was delicious, as were our drinks (including an iced green tea). Youngest family member loved her chicken pad thai, other meals were sweet chilli salmon, a hot fried rice dish and honey noodles with beef. It was all amazing and generous portions. Service was great and the meals were quick to arrive. It's the second time we've dined here and is definitely our favourite thai restaurant in Palmy.

Had dinner here on a Wednesday night...Palmy North is spoilt for choice for dining out...this place has to be one the best kept secrets! Friendly greeting prompt service and delicious cuisine! Incredibly reasonable too, highly rate this lace, delicious and affordable for a family to eat out!

I had expected a better Thai experience as I love Thai food. Staff are friendly and pleasant but the food was incredibly disappointing. The supposedly hot red Thai curry would have been lucky to ever see any chilli powder. It was all pretty tasteless and a lot of carrots! However on a plus side, the starter of roti was very pleasant.

Found the TripAdvisor review for this place and decided to try it. Took advantage of their 10% discount for first time online orders. Ordered their PadThai to try. It was not too bad, generous portions. Service was pleasant. May come back again the next time we pass through Palmerston North.

My partner and I came to Bang Saen for date night and absolutely loved it! We got a starter, the kau pad (I think that's what it was called), a couple iced teas and brownies!
Genuinely the best Thai food we have had so far.
Lovely server also, so pleasant and gracious!

Popped in here spontaneously on a Saturday - was a great find! Our meals were delicious, quick and good value. We will definitely be back, they also offer discounts on meals on Saturday and Wednesdays.

The staff were extremely pleasant and prices good. However, we do find that many of the Asian restaurants in Palmerston North lower the spice so much in food that it is not tasty and sadly this was the same as many other restaurants in the town.

We popped in here on a very cold night after a show at the Regent theater. The Tom Yum soup was delicious. Beautiful flavour and fresh. Great selection of dishes at very reasonable prices. Nice warm restaurant and great service. Will recommend to all and be back again myself.

Recommended to me by a Thai lady who previously owned her own restaurant, when I asked where we could find authentic Thai food now that she had retired. And she was bang on! BangsAen definitely came up with the goods - the food was delicious. The six of us ordered a variety of dishes to taste and share and every one was a culinary delight. Beautiful food, good portions and good prices - eat in or takeaway - totally recommend this place.

The meals were not only fantastic but very good value for the price, as the meat portions were generous. This place has only been operating for 5 months. The owner / host is very accommodating. Service is top rate.
Would certainly go back again.
I hope this place will do well. I always like to support these smaller family run restaurants.
