Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Black bacon, didn’t even know it was a thing. Totally unacceptable. Then when the replacement bacon arrived it was slammed on the table. Gosh black bacon and attitude. Won’t be back

Lovely attentive staff. Good coffee and fabulous cabinet offerings of which we had a beautiful tart and a savoury brioche. My colleague had eggs were were swift brought out. My thoughts were the menu was v pricey and I’m an Aucklander! and the room was...cold.More

We had to wait before being attended, and when we were sitting we waited at least 15/20 with empty dirty dishes in front of us before asking if someone could remove them. Secondly when they were coming with our food the table was not clean...at all and had to ask again if it could be cleaned. We had ordered water and had to ask again because it didn’t come. As a cherry on a cake the food is not that great. Not a good place.More

Unacceptably long wait. With no indication upon ordering that there might be a delay. Eventually we figured they completely forgot our lunch order. Forgot our water carafe. And forgot our cup of tea. Lots of diners who came in after us received their meals well...before us. We had to chase up THREE times during lunch. Overall. Very lazy, disappointing service. Particularly from the girl on checkout.More

I took my nan and daughter here, the service was great and it felt very welcoming. The menu was great too, and offered a variety including some French specialities. I wanted to try everything. Deserts were also delicious which we tried a few of. The...best macarons we've had ever!!! Would absolutely recommend cafe brie, a little hidden gem in quiet neighbourhood.More

The Cafe is warm and friendly, welcoming staff. Always a good buzz about the place. No rush with dining. Meet our friends there regularly. Food is superb.

We were visiting Palmy for a weekend getaway and were thrilled to discover this lovely breakfast/lunch spot. In fact the brekkie was so good that we returned again the following morning! The decor is lovely, with good use of soft surfaces for absorbing noise, so...it was great not to have the usual "café clatter". The menu was interesting with many special touches, the food was beautifully presented and the service was great. The only aspect we didn't really like was the tea and coffee, and whilst it may be personal, we believe that they could switch to better suppliers. We will definitely go here again in future.More

Ideal spot for lunch with tasty food at the counter and more substantial meals also available. Counter food served with tasty salad. Seemed very popular with “ladies who lunch”.

Went here for breakfast. Really nice french toast and pancakes, with a couple of hash browns on the side. Rest of the menu looked great and they had a lot of cabinet food available. Would come again.

The first, ánd last time we follow the advice of Trip advisor. Fish and chips with salad: only the salad was fresh and crisp. Fish was dry and had had probably about 4 days in the fridge, absolutely no taste. Hamburger with chips: the topping...was one sticky mess of overcooked onions, melted cheese etc. Not the hamburger my husband was expecting from Cafe Brie! Cafe Brie was reported to be a French cafe, but we could not discover anything French on the menu. Maybe we had to high expectations. EdMore

Wife and I had lunch there today from 1130 to 1215. We chose Whitebait Fritter and the biggest burger I have had for decades. Both meals were the best !!!

First time to Cafe Brie in years and I was pleasantly delighted! Great service (super efficient but also friendly in the covid L2 setting which was appreciated) and excellent food! I had the Chicken Cajun salad which had tender crispy chicken pieces and yummy salads...greens complete with little edible flowers. :) Others at table all enjoyed their meals too. One had the bouillabaisse, one had whitebait fritters, and the other lambs fry. All very tasty and generous with the protein portions. Thank you Cafe Brie chefs and service staff for a wonderful lunch!More

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, beautiful setting and out of this world food. If you are wanting a high tea, this is where it's at. Well done to all the staff for making my baby shower beautiful. Planning and booking was seamless.
