This popular place has a good selection of gluen free options including deserts. The meals are very generous, they even have special plates to accomodate them! The waitresses were very friendly, knowedgable and attentive without being intrusive. There are a number of alcoves if you...want a bit more privacy. Pensioners will be pleasantly surprised to find that they will get a 10% discount when showing their gold card. Its really more of a restaurant than a bistro. We visited quite a few years ago and its still up to scratch.More

We were recommended to eat here for dinner, the staff were friendly and food arrived in a timely manner, the portions were great and the biggest burgers I have ever seen, The decor was really cool and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

The venison was superbly cooked, the best we have ever had. The BBQ pulled pork Bistro Burger was also excellent, tasty with generous fillings.

We had booked and they were full and turning walk-ins away. Even so the service was prompt and efficient and we were surprised at quickly our meals arrived considering the place was packed. We ordered bread as starter (bad idea as the mains were more...than adequate). 6 think slices of homemade bread and dips for two of us! We had the port belly, moist with perfect crackle and no lashings of fat! But I couldn't taste the ginger in the "pumpkin and ginger mash" and the ribeye (perfectly cooked) with an amazing crusted surface. Could not fit desert in and was able to take the leftovers home - Yum. We drank Clancy's - a beaut red. Great service, not intrusive but three wait staff rotated past so felt well cared for. Can't wait to go back for the Friday special!More

We had a fantastic evening at the Portside, great menu with local fresh fish, excellent service and an overall wonderful evening. We had the market fish, thoroughly recommend. Desserts are very delicious, a must have.

We sat outside in the garden and enjoyed lunch here. The menu was excellent, the staff friendly and the quality of the meats (we had venison and pork) were outstanding. Great chefs.
