Having sampled Indian food in a variety of locations, I should probably give this a three and a half star. The flavors are muted for the local palate, and the waiter warned us about this. It was slammed, and orders took awhile to be taken and food to arrive. The menu is the standard Indian food choices. The butter chicken was much too sweet and not one to choose. The other choices were better - Madras Chicken and Chicken tikka.

On our last night in Te Anau we visited this Indian restaurant. This was our 10th day in New Zealand and up until now we found the food from cafes and restaurants and pubs expensive and underwhelming. However this was the first time we were trying Indian cuisine in the country after sampling all the other staple menus. The quality of the food was very good and very tasty. The service was efficient. The price was fair for what we ordered. We would recommend this establishment.

The food was excellent. We had Chicken Jalfrezi and Sag Chicken and the servings were generous and flavoursome. We had been advised that it might take up to 30 minutes to serve which it did but the taste was well worth it. The staff are very friendly and hard working. We wish them the best. Give them a go.

This resturant I love and the it makes but for the meals and amount we are paying to pay them to cook us food and so we don't have too. Their needs to more chicken in the meals that have chicken it's like a soup otherwise which you can just do at home in seconds it pointless if they don't put more chicken in it and would advise you to cook at home if they don't change this soon. In any meal their it need more to it for the price we are paying it's not cheap but it's not $40 for but for a main meal that is anywhere from $20 - $26 it needs to have more meat in it or it's not worth it every single week for me or anyone. So I'd say for me if things don't change I'd go their once every 3 weeks too 4 weeks.

Worst Indian restaurant I have ever visited. Orders were take promptly then had to wait an hour for poppadums to arrive. When they did one of the dips we ordered was missing.Then had to wait a further 30 minutes for mains. Chicken was tough and overcooked by sauce was nic. Onion Bhaji tasted more of salt than onion.
Prioritised takeaway orders over sitting customers. Food was mediocre at best
Unfortunately everywhere else in town was busy, I can understand why when the service at this place is so poor. If you do want food from here, order it as a takeaway as it will be served much quicker but I would save yourself the phone call and go elsewhere

We have to wait a long time for our food to pick up (49 mins) even though we ordered well in advance, and when it did arrive the quality was disappointingly poor.
We had paneer butter masala & lamb saag. Lamb was much drier & very spicy though ordered it as Medium. Paneer was Sweetish than you'd normally expect. Rice didn't taste like Basmati rice.
On top of this, the Manager wasn't behaving nicely ...asking us to cancel the order when I had already waited for 40 min.
We won't be going back there again.... be careful guys.

We waited a long time for our food to arrive (45 mins) even though the restaurant didn't seem that busy, and when it did arrive the quality was dissapointingly poor. We both had biriyani and it was much drier than you'd normally expect and the rice didn't taste like Basmati so it was either long grain or a very poor quality basmati. The onion salad was an entire white onion cut in 2cm thick circles.

Reasonable Indian food. Not very nicely decorated, but the food itself is OK. Papadum was tasty with two fresh dips. Chicken Tikka Masala was tasty, although I would have preferred not to have the green pepper in it. Vegetarian Kurma was also ok, but only broccoli and cauliflower.

Had takeaway. Restaurant is nicely presented but we did not eat in.
Lamb jalfrezi was average in terms of taste and quality, fair but nothing exceptional.
Lamb wrap was made with mince instead of actual meat slices, plus the fries seemed like they were warmed up from the previous day (hard and tasteless) hence the poorer rating overall.

We have had the best Indian food here so far. I think chicken was chicken fillet and we like that better than chicken thigh. Other Indians mainly eat chicken thigh. This is very positive and the taste of the food was also great. We also loved naan.

These guys were swamped and calmly accommodated everyone. Including all the takeaway orders. Then you have the complainers who have no patience and can’t enjoy a leisurely evening over drinks and dinner. If you want fast food, please go somewhere else!!

We ordered dinner from Radhas Indian Restaurant.
Crispy Chicken Fry was average but chicken tikka was very plain.
Chicken biriyani which was priced at 22/- was no where near acceptable taste. We ordered 2 but struggled to finish even 1. Chilly Prawn tasted spicy and nothing else. We would not recommend this food. Totally dissatisfied and disappointed.

We went there for lunch and had startes, chicken and veggy curry and garlic naan bread. The service was very friendly with not a thing to complain about. The food was even better and some of the best indian food we had in New Zealand (and we really are into indian food). Authentic, freshly cooked, perfectly spiced to our wishes and served with a smile. 5/5 Stars!

Having just spent a month in North west India, we thought we’d give the local one here a try.
Staff are friendly and helpful, the restaurant itself is contemporary and clean.
Service was good, and the food came out reasonably quickly, but I’m afraid it wasn’t what we expected, it was quite dry, and perhaps overcooked.
So although it wasn’t bad, I’ve had a lot better around the world.
I think you either try it or not, I couldn’t recommend it.

Te Anau has a lot of restaurants with a lot of choices. We like Indian Food so we ordered at Radhas restaurant several curries. The service was quick. The food was well prepared at adequate in quantity. The Curries ( Chicken Tikka masala, Jalfrezi Chicken, Butter Chicken and Naan was very tasteful.
