Recommended by our host, this restaurant exceeded our expectations (which weren't all that high after checking out the local pub!) The portions were huge and my Manuka Smoked Salmon with horseradish cream was absolutely delicious; hubby's Rib Eye Steak was very good (even without the English mustard he usually requires). We would definitely go there again.

We ate at the Radcliff Restaurant & Bar on our first night in Te Anau. We didn't have reservations but lucked onto a table for four with only a short wait. The restaurant is a just a short walk from pretty much anywhere in Te Anau. And there is plenty of street parking in the area. My wife and I... More

Writing this is slightly overdue as we visited NZ back in January but no less deserving. We didn't book but they managed to squeeze us in so we had a drink at the bar while we waited. Food was excellent and well worth the price which admittedly is not cheap. Staff were friendly and genuine and service was spot on.... More

It was a celebration meal after 6 fabulous nights aboard the Milford Wanderer - what a great place to wind up our holiday. There were 10 of us - the meals all came at roughly the same time. The best options looked to be the hare, the venison - actually all of it - salmon...you can't go wrong. Ignore the... More

I read many great reviews for this place so we wanted to eat here when we first arrived. Like other places in New Zealand, tripadvisor and similar websites will list a place as open, but they dont mean open they mean, you can grab a drink at the bar but dinner, you have wait another two hours. So that is... More

We found the service professional but cold, with an ok ambience, tables well spaced but on smallish side. I had the MANUKA SMOKED SALMON - house smoked salmon, ribboned courgette, confit cherry tomatoes, seasonal greens, wakame, deep fried caper. Cooked very nicely, quite delicious. My wife selected the FIORDLAND WILD VENISON - served medium rare, pumpkin puree, herb and cheese... More

The men enjoyed local meats and unique seafood. The crayfish is a must. Looks like a lobster but tastes better. I heard our friends rave about the mussels.

Their emphasis is on local, which is great, and they produce excellent results with them. Their venison is great, so are the fish dishes. I had the manuka smoked salmon once and my wife had the fish of the day twice, all were great.
