The London Underground Pizza Bar is in the heart of downtown Queenstown on Shotover Street, serving up delicious pizza alongside a taste of London nightlife. Dine in the cosy booths or bistro-style tables in the restaurant area or relax at the high tables and large leather booths in the bar. The London's pizzas are made from scratch using the best fresh local produce and their bar is stacked with the best beers and New Zealand wines. The booth seating is great for families and their special Kids Menu is a favourite with locals. My partner and I had just come back from skippers, cold after the jet boat ride and ready for a feed. We saw the 10$ lunch menu and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did! The place has so much character, it was pretty quiet at 12pm but the server and chef (Josh & Jack) were lovely, the food came really quickly and was delicious. The carbonara was creamy and flavourful and great portion for 10$, pizza was well cooked and my partner loved it. Oh and those curly fries? Daaaamn! Best we've ever had! Great location, great food, great people. Definitely recommend.

Went here for a $10 lunch deal on a Thursday afternoon, the food was excellent value for money, especially for Queenstown which can be a bit of a tourist trap sometimes.
Place was empty as it's underground and a bit hidden.
I had the loaded curly fries - nice and crispy with plenty of cheese and an Italian ragu topping, my friend had a whole veggie pizza, prepared by chef Jack, and great service by Aoife from County Armagh, always good to meet fellow backpackers! Free pool table was a bonus, could use a new cue though

P.S. Everybody loves the free pool tables so our cues get well used a little too quickly. BUT...We have BRAND NEW pool cues ordered, shipped and on their way!! Come back soon and test them out! ;)

A good find this if you’re looking for a proper pizza in Queenstown - just squeeze through the crazy Fergburger queue outside and go down the stairs!. Inside is a big basement venue with open kitchen and you can see the pizzas being hand stretched and freshly made. Quality of food and service was both excellent.

Great fitout and really nice staff but the food lets this place down. Ordered mozzarella sticks that came with a weird cold tinned tomato tomatoes. If heated it would have been so much better. Ordered pizza, heavy on cheese and pretty average. Generous size for 11 inch and also spaghetti bolognaise which had zero flavour and not a particularly large portion. $107 later with a margarita and a couple of beers felt really disappointed. Only one other couple in there - such a shame as it's a cool venue. Hopefully a new chef can improve it.

Was really looking forward to this as well.
Would honestly not be surprised if my pizza was premade and frozen. Or if someone told me that the kitchen staff had run out the back door and got it from Dominos. Bland and largely tasteless with the only flavor coming from the Pepperoni itself.
Wife is allergic to cheese and had taken me here as a one off treat so that I could have my pizza. She ordered a Spaghetti Bolognaise which she described as watery, tasteless and almost completely without any meat. From looking at it, I could believe that it was made with leftover pizza sauce and I would agree that I could not see any meat in it.
The chicken wings were already cooling when they reached the table so that they were cold a few minutes later.
Only good thing we can say about the place was that the staff were excellent, cheerful and understanding. The person that I assumed to be the duty manager comped most of the meal without prompting. Even if no-one checked on us during the meal and no staff were easily spotted to be approached during meal itself. So there was no opportunity to raise issues mid meal.
I absolutely understand that Kitchens have bad nights and that staff have off days. So I hope that this is just a one off.
I am also left with the feeling that some of the problems might have arisen due to cost cutting measures. But this is the wrong way to do it.
We will not be back.

The staff are outstanding- always putting a smile on my daughters with outstanding service, kindness , hospitality and genuine fun interaction. Thank you Benny, Sam and Kalos!
The food is delivered not long after ordering. It is delicious having ordered two pizzas, curly chips and drinks, always with leftovers to take home and enjoy the next day.
I have now taken my family there twice on our holidays in Queenstown having first discovered it in September/ October school holidays 2021.
Highly recommended for families, couples, friends... Highly recommended for everyone in other words.

My 19 year old son found this place first night we arrived after checking out the town . We all went there for dinner first night ! We are a family of 4, we had a blast ! The music was good the pool tables made it even more fun and most of all we got the BIG BEN pizza with is perfect for 4 hungry people. You can choose 3 different types . We had so much fun that we went back the next night ! The manager Ethan was awesome and friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend cheers Nicola

What a great restaurant, hidden away a little through a single doorway but once inside you couldn’t wish for more.
Great food and drinks and exceptional service, he managed to keep the entire table of kids happy and even tempted us adults into some “small drinks”. Matt is a real asset, we will definitely be back to see him again.

After being promised the best pizza in Queenstown, my friends and I were sorely disappointed so th our experience on the weekend. Give the pricey nature of these pizzas we expected a meal significantly better, tastier, with more appetising toppings (particularly on our Mexican pizza). The cheese on both our pizzas appeared undercooked and made me question whether it was mozzarella. The service was also poor, with a waitress that seemed more interested in talking to the bartender than addressing our concerns. Won’t be back. The curly fries were the only saving feature on our loaded pizza.

I came in today to dine alone while I waited for my friends at the casino. I paid for my meal and walked out. One of your male workers chased me, and when I say chased I am not exaggerating he ran down the street and told me I need to come
Back and pay for my meal. I told
Him it was already paid for and he said no it isn’t I need to come back. I then proceeded to show him my bank statement for the payment and he left me alone without an apology. I think this was extremely racist, and I feel it’s because I am brown. I will be leaving this review on your page as well but this is absolutely disgusting and I’ve never had an experience where I’ve been chased down the street after having my meal to pay when it’s already been paid for!! It was highly embarrassing and un called for, he could of just checked with the waiter who took the payment instead of chasing me down the street and demanding me to come back and pay for something that was already paid for. The burger was average as well

We live in Queenstown and have a family who just love pizza, we think The London pizzas are the best for flavour and value for money. Our girls beg for the curly fries and the pepperoni is their all-time favourite.
The team are always super friendly and give special attention to our family which not all restaurants do. We'll always get our pizzas - eat in or take away from The London!

Tucked away next to the over rated fergburger is a great little place to stop. The London has two free pool tables and the staff are super friendly. Its great for families during day and the party life at night. This place is ideal for private functions if you feel like having the whole bar to yourself :).
The 3 foot pizza is worth getting if you keen to try something new and pop down for any sporting events to watch it on their big screen.
Shout out to all the staff for making the place what it is!!

In need of lunch and the kids wanted Pizza. Went downstairs to The London. Got a nice booth and fast service. They have a standard menu but also a $10 lunch menu with fewer choices. Most of us got the $10 lunch menu pizzas. Good quality thinner and crispy base pizzas. Tasty combinations. Attentive service and a fast kitchen. I'd definitely go back.

WE loved the food and service. Special shoutout to our waitress ANNA H, waitressing our table and the chef JOJO made everything taste absolutely delish. And too CHASE the manager for putting on a pizza special.

Had a great family meal here with super friendly staff (especially Liam). We had a 3 foot pizza which was great value (as effectively 3 pizzas). The loaded fries were AMAZING!!!! We will definitely be visiting again when we come back to Queenstown.
