Absolutely incredible service from Lucy and the team! Insanely delicious food, was even giving recommendations to suit what I enjoyed and found the perfect meal I would have missed if she didn’t offer her help. Beautiful cocktails, amazing decor and overall 11/10 experience. Definitely would...recommend!More

Reasons we loved this place.... 1. Food....all designed to share, we ordered 4 dishes for 2 and was plenty, was great quality, and very filling (note the food comes out as it’s done, don’t blow up if it doesn’t all come at same time!) 2....Beer, good tap beers, was shame no Pilsner but the pale ale was good 3. View.....outside, by the lake, can’t buy that view 4. Playlist... if you are a 50 something the songs all took us back to our mis-spent 20’s 5. Callum.....our waiter....what a legend. Friendly, funny, entertaining, helped us around the menu, made our evening memorable! Restaurants need more Callum’s !! Highly recommended!!More

Had a really enjoyable dinner/night listening to the live music in the background and watching the sun go down. Food was great and Lucy our maître d was knowledgeable and very friendly. Great relaxed night.

Really enjoyed our date night by the lake. We ordered creatively and were well rewarded. Brilliant service from all the attentive waitstaff headed extremely well by Brad. One of the best places to see the sunset and blankets to warm up as the dusk gets...colder!More

We were here in July and had a great time with excellent staff, service and food. Because of that we came back again in January but unfortunately it was nowhere near as good. The service was poor, after we ordered several other tables arrived and...they all got meals well before us. Staff walked past and realised we were waiting but didn’t come over. After around an hour food finally arrived - food was good but not great and not the same standard as 6 months ago and definitely not worthy of the prices they charge. It is an amazing location right on the lake at Steamer Wharf and its a great menu, but when we visited it was mostly empty so I guess locals are voting with their feet. Lots more better places in Queenstown that Public Kitchen.More

There are few things nicer to do than sit in the sun on the edge of a lake and drink coffee watching planes emerge from behind mountains and climb into a clear blue sky, seeing jet boats giving their passengers thrills with splashy turns, lapping...up the warmth of a summer sun with a soundtrack of 60s blues music rumbling in the background. Public Kitchen and Bar on the edge of Queenstown’s wharf area did that. The coffee was good too.More

Called in for a lunchtime snack and enjoyed choosing from their great selection of shared platters. Ordered one of the local craft beers to accompany the food - magic! This place is perfectly situated, close to the lake with ample seating. Did I mention attentive...and friendly staff? An easy 5 stars here.More

Was asked to move on from a table we were sitting at having a beer. Unbeknown to us the table “belonged” to this bar. I noticed they had six empty tables and all chairs at bar and a number of tables inside were empty too....I mentioned as soon as we finished this beer we would buy one from their establishment while we waited for others to arrive, but no we had to move! So we did, and so the eight of us went next door, ten metres away drank some lovely craft beers with fantastic service and spent some serious money. It really makes you wonder in these tough times In hospitality they would think before they opened their mouths!More

We are sorry you feel this way however, our liquor license does state that we are not allowed another establishment's liquor on our premises. Therefore even though we may have had empty tables, we would not be permitted to allow drinks bought from another restaurant...More
