The food was very good. My dad and I both enjoyed the lamb and we now know why this restaurant has won so many awards! The service wasn't also really good!

This is a must. Excellent food in a very comfortable setting. The dishes were interesting, generous and beautifully cooked. The staff were good natured and very helpful in a non pretentious down to earth way.

Rich flavours. Lamb melted in the mouth. I had the salmon which was amazing. I didn't expect all the flavours to work so perfectly. Incredible service. The wine matches were perfect.

This's our first time to visit this restaurant. It was better than we expected. Food is so yummy and staffs did the great jobs. It's a little hard to find the place but you will be satisfied after you sitting there.

Tip from my hotel to go here for lamb paid off big time. This is an upstairs, out of the way, and out of the thick of things place. Slightly faded old world charm, and perfectly prepared lamb.

A friend of mine recommended we visit Roaring Megs and it didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly, the service efficient and the food was excellent. It's a while since I enjoyed a meal as good. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Queenstown.

Lamb is the speciality and the lamb confit is excellent. Room is quaint. Service was excellent - the best we had in Queenstown. Despite being upstairs, disabled access was arranged with no fuss! Wine list offered a good selection of local offerings. Well worth a visit

Starter (pork belly) melted in your mouth. We ordered and shared the 2 lamb dishes which were unbelievably good, dessert topped it off! Delicious food, great service (Mary) was very helpful and friendly, this hidden gem is to die for! Can't recommend it enough.

We stumbled in here, as my husband wanted some local fare. We were not disappointed! Small restaurant, just a few tables and a lovely menu of local game. They have award-winning lamb dishes, presented in an upscale but hearty way. Everything was exquisitely prepared and the service was friendly, well-paced and helpful. Would definitely try to go here if in... More
