Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped at this cafe a couple of times for coffees. The setting, on the edge of the lake, is superb, and the service from the staff was great. A very pleasant experience.

Lovely day to sit in the sun with views of the lake. The service was efficient & friendly. We had the fish & chips was nice, but could have done with a little salad on the side. No offer of water for the table, which...we thought was unusual, but maybe because of the current drinking water issues 🤷‍♀️very small selection of wines by the glass.More

What a lovely spot with fantastic views. The first espresso I had there was absolutely sensational. On other visits they didn't quite nail it, but still very good. The food was very nice as well. Walking there along the lake from our accommodation was part...of the treat. Highly recommended for breakfast.More

Coleslaw lovers may like the coleslaw tasted seafood soup, otherwise... Direct view of the lake. For coffee and tea only, maybe.

Mince on Toast, not your typical plate for lunch, but it sure was tasty. Dine in or out if weather OK. Kids playground just behind on shore walk. Keep you camera handy for excellent views.

The 1st lunch we had there was not up to the standard that we had experienced on previous years. On the following day I had “Bangers and Mash “ again. This was a HUGE IMPROVEMENT. We had lunch there every day for the rest of our...stay in Queenstown. We visit Queenstown every autumn and stay at the Novotel Hotel for about a week. Will we eat at The Bathhouse again very definitely.More

Very quaint right on the water with beautiful views. Chilly in the winter so wear a coat. Food and Staff were outstanding. Definitely the minced meat and poached eggs were our favorites. The breads were wonderful. We also loved the breakfast martini. Enjoy!

The place is cute, and the staff super nice. The food however was not that great for the price, and they forgot my coffee. I mean I would come back but would not be my first choice in Queenstown.

We had bangers and mash which was cold and tasteless. Needed a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Music was too loud. Now the good stuff, Tea and Coffee was excellent and staff the best in Queenstown. Will we return definitely as there are many tempting...choices in the menu and is a pleasant locationMore

Just arrived in Queenstown gasping for a cuppa at 3pm as any true Brit would be. My wife sat down in the sun in an idyllic location looking over the lake. When I went to order tea and cake we were told they stop serving...tea and coffee at 3pm. I'm sure they have a valid reason but I'd love to know it, especially as we walked elsewhere and got a tea and walked back and forth past the empty tables at Bathhouse at 4pm and 5pm. They market themselves as the home of true British nostalgia which must be the greatest irony of all time that two 60-year old Brits can't get a cup of tea there at 3pm.More

Yum. The food is just amazing, service is warm and professional and the view is simply the best in Queenstown , Go the mince on toast and a glass of pinot noir for breakfast, I dare you!

Visited here in Jan 2023 for my husbands birthday lunch. I understand there is a lack of staff worldwide however the service here was very poor. Server didn't have any knowledge about the food or really what she was doing. Many items not available from...menu and what we did receive was lackluster. The server disappeared half way through our meal. Was her shift over? Did she just walk out? Who knows. We waited for someone else to take our order for dessert but after 20 mins wait with no one taking any notice of us, we paid (after waiting at the counter to get some attention) and left. The place is under new management with a new menu but is very disappointing.More
