Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ordered the vegetarian Malaysian slaw and roti canal via takeout. Salad was delicious with extremely fresh ingredients. Note that it is a bit spicy which I wasn’t expecting, but good nevertheless . The roti was a bit tough but might have a better texture if...eaten right after cooking vs packaged for take outMore

10/10 recommend this restaurant to everyone! Amazing menu and delicious food! Friendly staff. Great for getting a few of the menu items and sharing with friends. The brand new Roti Apple Pie and ice cream was to die for!!! We went back a few nights...later just for the Roti Apple Pie, it was that good! The Hawker rolls are a definite must as well!!More

Dishes are authentic, lots of heat from the wok and spiced up appropriately. Servings are reasonable and so are the prices including wines. Short ribs serve is large (for 3 ) and is delicious. You’ll have a wonderful dinner, I know it

We turned up at 9:28pm and were told they were closing, so we went to a very nice Chinese Restaurant around the corner. A shame as it was our last day in Queenstown & we had looked forward to dining there.

We came for lunch completely unplanned. We chose the vegetarian options - the hawker roll with chicpea marsala was perfect choice not a share dish but pastry was flakky and perfect. Note this place is not spicy but beautifully balanced if you are looking for...something different. Great with the pinot gris. This is a perfect lunch spot.More

The Beek randang was fully of griz which I couldn't eat. The chicken curry was average. The pilot noir was ordered and a resiling was delivered. Altogether an unacceptable meal. We went next door to the Ballarat for desert.

Great spot for a delicious lunch (or dinner). The Malaysian vibe feels authentic and the menu has a great range of great options. I would recomend the mocktails.

We came to Madame Woo which was recommended to us as a premium place to eat. We were looking forward to the meal. We found the food to be very underwhelming and it spoiled our evening! I wouldn't recommend this place for vegetarians choices and...flavours. Please note this was the feeling my entire family.More

Visited for lunch on New Year’s Day. Service was good, food was also quite good. Five spice fried chicken, coconut rice and fried rice were all good.

Dressed up with nowhere to go and happy exploring town and seeing where we could get dinner, Madam Woo's lights and ambience drew us in and we were able to get a dinner for tea. Such a cute setting and vibe, we settled in for...a cute cozy dinner for 2 and were thoroughly impressed by all the food we ordered, and cocktails. Fried Chicken was the best!More

The restaurant has nice decor and we were greeted by a friendly waitress. The range of food was sufficient but the lack of the more authentic food. The nasi lemak was good but the sambal lacked a punch. The Chow Kueh Teow was made with...reconstituted noodles which was somewhat hard but tasty. Overall it was a good experience.More

We were looking for lunch and a wee waked up the shopping street from the waterfront, we saw Madam Woo's restaurant. We both like Malaysian food and were delighted with our meals. I had the yellow chicken curry and my wife had chicken five spice...with coconut rice. They were both superb. On top of that, my wife had a Singapore Sling, which outperformed one she had at the famous Raffles.More

It was a very busy evening and the restaurant had come highly recommended by my son. The Hostess was just amazing. We sat at the bar for a cocktail until a table was available. Service was terrific and the food delicious!

The food and service were excellent. We particularly enjoyed the beef rendang, but the laksa was also impressive. The duck hawker roll was delicious too.
