If you are staying at the Hilton on this side of the lake, there are few dining options within walking distance. This restaurant is an acceptable option with a limited menu but most should be able to find something to eat. Friendly staff helps and if sitting on the patio, you get a partial view of the lake.

Simple and prompt

We dropped in for a quick dinner after checking in. Ordered a pizza and calamari and it arrived quite promptly. The calamari was perfectly cooked and I can’t stress that enough, I am very critical of calamari not being cooked properly but they nailed it. The pizza was thin and crispy and made by hand. We were so impressed and should have come here for a second nights dinner.

We ate here twice during our recent stay at The Hilton Queenstown. Both times we found the food and service to be excellent. Great menu choices and friendly staff. Beautiful location right on the lake with options to eat inside by the huge open fireplace in winter, or outside on the deck by the lake in summer.

So much potential but poor execution

We ordered an entree and pizzas 6.45pm for dinner and after receiving neither by 7.30 we asked where they were. As there were only a handful of customers in the restaurant and people that had ordered after us had received their food. The order had been forgotten about and it was not until 7.35 we were given our entree. Would not recommend given the prices. Luckily Sunday was half price so it didn’t sting as much. However, we were initially overcharged and had to prompt a refund even after questioning the price at the time.

this is a great little pub, we had the pleasure of going there several times on a recent trip to Queenstown. It is in a nice location with some lake views, has a good be it small outdoor area that we couldn't make full use of due to the weather. But we did manage t sit out there on one of the days and imagine it would be pretty popular in the height of summer. What we liked most about the bar though was the staff, who put in the effort to make you welcome and look after you. In particular Ane & Joe who we thought were awesome. If you were running a bar these are the sort of people you want to be working for you. We had meals there which were of a good standard as well. We would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area

Best sirloin steak ever

Very friendly, obliging service. At 65 yrs old I have eaten thousand of steaks and am always a bit nervous about a sirloin but this rare steak was perfect. You need a great farmer to provide the meat and a great chef to cook it right and between them they nailed it.

Went with the family, the wife and I had the holiday special which was great. Kids all had something different of the kids menu which was good as well. The kids burgers. We’re really good I thought, and good portions

A good option for Hilton guests

Really enjoyed our dinner here. The pizza and curly fries were great, service was quick and the staff were excellent and friendly. Only comment would be that the music was a bit too loud and I didn’t think explicit lyrics were appropriate in the early evening particularly when there were children dining there.

We had dinner here one rainy night and the food was amazing! Pizza and garlic bread was delicious, nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Drinks were a little expensive but that's what you get being in touristy Queenstown.

Great pub restaurant

Staying at the Hilton there's not much choice to eat but this pub is excellent. Good menu choices and good selection of beers. Friendly staff and prompt service. Very agreeable place to eat

Staff friendly but website menu didn't match printed menus

We were here for lunch before the lockdown came into force. The chicken burger and caesar salad were fine, but we'd come looking for the choices showing on the website. The coffee shop nearby has some lovely gift-ware items.

Nice bar but no cocktails

Nice bar with in door and some out door seating. Lovely fireplace and good ambiance just no cocktails on offer! Lots of wine and beer though so great if you drink those. They also have a food menu to help absorb the alcohol but we didn’t eat here so I can’t comment on the food.

Choose somewhere else

The menu was pizza or burger. Tried and regretted both. In a famed Pinot area, the only available red by the glass was “on tap” or from Australia. Two of my choices weren’t available. I did not eat here by choice and would certainly not do so again

Overpriced and poor food. Very disappointed. This has the potential to be so much better. The location is great and it will always be busy because of the Hilton next door but it really was awful.

Very average food, service VERY slow, salad was very disappointing, wait staff very clueless about any question asked about food, served the wrong table and blamed our table… not apologetic.
