With the fire roaring, mulled wine and friendly staff, this bar was just the ticket on a cold, wet winter's day. Hank the rescue dog roamed around visiting all the patrons for pats and coat ruffling. Great story about Hank on the wall.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Queenstown and the food, atmosphere and hospitality in general did not disappoint. The service was great and food came out super fast. Chicken cranberry and Brie pizza alongside the BBQ chicken wings are highly recommended. Loved...that they also had a kids grazing platter as well with plenty of healthy options. Hank is a bit of a highlight, super gorgeous dog that roams the pub and makes friends with everyone. Such a placid man, we loved seeing him about. Made the place feel quite homely. Highly recommended stop on your way through the Gibbston Valley.More

My wife and I ate lunch here during our stay in Queenstown. We drove up to Cromwell and on the way back we stopped in to this lovely spot. The menu is fairly limited but my wife had nachos and I had a salad with...chicken. Both were really good and well priced. The tavern was warm with a nice fire and Hank the huge dog makes sure you’re comfortable. Worth a visit on your way through. Cheap food and it’s good!More
